Sorry for the delay, folks. But I'm finally getting round to posting this bloody thing.
Well, Omega Effect was slowly coming around the corner, and I seem to remember that Senator sent out a mass PM, asking if anybody wanted to feud with him for OE. As he did the calcs, he knew that Black & White was me, and so I had no problem asking him. It was a great honour for him to agree; I think it's common knowledge that he's Mr. Omega Effect, even if I like to kid on otherwise
Anyways, we didn't foresee him winning Fallen Heroes, and when he did so, it was a bit of a surprise. I offered to let him go on and have his title shot, but he declined, saying that he had commitments to feuding with me, which was again, a great honour. We didn't want our feud to be a generic one, however, and began it all with a football match. An honest, charity football match. But Dan would see red, and out of nowhere crack Senator's knee. This was, I felt a great idea. It led to a Senator injury, Gingerdude not risking him in the OE main event, so giving him a shot at me to prove that he's still got it. I on the other hand was going on the idea that I was fighting for the youth of ACW, and that Senator had been unfairly hogging the limelight.
It began with a match at Spring Into Hell, where I beat The Capitalists by DQ. The Royles would interfere, and it was going to lead to a Heat-style “Omega Effect Pre-Show”, with The Capitalists defeating The Royles, but ultimately we both ran out of time. OE certainly took its toll on the pair of us. That match came about, and Senator agreed to job. But he also asked if it would be by countout. At first I was sceptical, because a countout victory feels like a very cheap way to win a match. But when you look at how Senator wrote that ending, it felt more valued than if I'd forced a submission on the guy. It was a great match.
I do feel though that I personally wrote a better match in Sarin/Fallen Souls. Now I'm going to open another can of worms here, but I think people really underestimate FSX's win here. If you look at the work he'd done since returning that January, he really deserved that title win at OE. The problem was that Sarin seemed very reluctant to write anything to do with the Main Event, meaning that what should have been the biggest match of the year had virtually no hype. Well, save for FSX, because he wrote his heart out. And I think we should consider that. I tried to write the best match I could, and I thought I wrote a damn good match. But, like many other Main Events with little hype, it sort of went unnoticed. I have no problems with that, but I just felt like FSX deserved a lot more credit.
Anyways, I also took part in a Tag Team Tournament during the months of May and June. This wasn't, however, the Lethal Lottery, but rather a Tag Titles tournament. We got to pick who we were with, and Snake and I were together. The Sultans of Swerve, if you may, considering we both made a dramatic return within 5 days of each other. Or the Alter Egos, since both our characters seemingly shared schizophrenic tendencies. Anyways, we fought first against Teddy Davis and his partner, winning that. Then we beat Freeman and Hughes, setting up the final match.
I had no idea the final match would be at Omega Effect, which worried me as I thought that had I won on calcs, the mods wouldn't have let me win two matches at OE. But they didn't have a problem with it, and despite going up against G-Unit, the most decorated and best tag team ACW has ever had, Snake and I managed to bring home the gold. In a way I felt it was like a personal grudge I had been able to overcome, as I must have been the most unsuccessful person to attempt to win that belt, at least until I'd won it. So it was a great lift off my shoulders, and it was the first time I'd held gold for nearly two years, nearly three if you only include the Dan White character.
I've already spoken about the month of July in the previous chapter, but I'll move onto August. I had large plans for the Tag Team Titles, but there would be a number of obstacles to overcome first...
