Chris throws a shoulder up as Senator shakes his head standing at ringside
McNally: Chris had a chance to seize the opportunity there, he had Dave Shadow down and out on the outside of the ring following the assist from Senator but backed away.
Edison: The cockyness of Chris Phenomenal there backfired, he should have listened to Senator and continued to go full throttle against the smaller Dave Shadow, continue to work over the arm and take away a big part of Dave’s arsenal.
Dave picks up Phenomenal and presses him into the corner before charging in with a corner clothesline that sends Chris stumbling out of the corner as Dave delivers a chop block to the back of Chris leg taking him down to one knee allowing Dave to connect with another Enziguri that puts Chris Phenomenal down again and yields another cover.

Another kick out from Chris Phenomenal as Senator looks a little relived that the mistake didn’t cost him the title. Dave delivers a few stomps to the neck of Chris Phenomenal before he rolls out of the ring under the ropes as Dave Shadow doesn’t follow. Senator limps over towards Chris and whispers a few times in his ear as Chris nods his head as RAF counts five. Senator claps Chris on the back a few times before Chris climbs up the steps and ducks into the ring as Dave Shadow takes the onslaught to Chris as soon as he ducks into the ring, connecting with a right hand before pulling back, the caning from Senator having quite possibly done some damage to the bones in his hand. Chris looks to take advantage of it with a big European uppercut that puts Dave on his back foot and Chris presses up against the ropes looking for a big clothesline but Dave Shadow ducks out of the way, planting Chris face first into the mat with a drop toe hold
McNally: The counsel with Senator didn’t quite work for Chris there.
Edison: I’m not certain there brief discussion was about what Dave was going to do there. I think it was more about calming and refocusing Chris’ attention on the task at hand. Telling him that he can “play with his toy later” and that he should be solely focused on the title.
As Dave spins around the top of Chris, the pure wrestling match that has gone on up and too this point is thrown out the window as Dan goes right after the head of Chris Phenomenal with grounded elbows, fists, knees, anything and everything he can fire with force goes right at the prone head of Chris Phenomenal, the International Champion having formerly restrained himself now letting the fury go and all Chris can do is cover up and try and evade the shots, eventually doing so and rolling away from danger back out under the ring ropes as the crowd jeer, one fan even going so far as to throw his medium popcorn at Chris and hitting him in the back of the head. Chris turns around and stares at the fan ready to lay down a beating but Senator leaps into action, restraining Chris but also distracting him for the extra second so he can’t evade the Springboard Crossbody from Dave Shadow as he crashes into the turning Chris, taking him and Senator down to the mat.
Edison: He may have just broken Senator’s hip!
Dave gets to his feet pulling Chris up with him and whips him into the ring apron, the kidneys of Chris Phenomenal crushed between it and his body as Dave Shadow charges, looking to hit his charging high knee but Chris sidesteps it, stumbling out of the way, trying to regain his composure. Dave Shadow has other ideas however, using considerable athleticism to plant on the ring apron with the charging foot to vault himself up, spring boarding off the top rope back to the outside before catching Chris with his legs as he turns around, spinning him and firing him into the ring steps face first, the flesh wound initially suffered during the match at Emperor of the Ring with Senator re-opened as Dave Shadow looks on, sliding into the ring to break the count then coming back out and going right after Chris Phenomenal, the smell of blood in his nostrils.
McNally: What an amazing move there by Dave Shadow. You might not like him but you’ve got to admit he is one of the most skilled in ring competitors we have.
More hands from Dave Shadow as he works over the split forehead of Chris Phenomenal with a plethora of punches before throwing him into the ring and going for the quick pin.

Another Chris Phenomenal kick out as Dave Shadow looks down, smiling at the blood pouring from the wound as he rises up, slowly stalking Chris Phenenomenal as he works to his feet using the ring ropes. As he comes off Senator yells “Blink!” at him as Dave Shadow looks for his leaping reverse STO and Chris grabs onto the ropes, holding on and sending Dave packing into the canvas as Chris manages to shrug him off and put a few boots to Dave Shadow as he struggles to his feet
McNally: The old saying goes that brains beat brawns, but with Senator now in his corner is it safe to say that Chris now possesses both?
Edison: I think it would be, Senator will have Chris prepared coming into every single match, he’ll know just what he’s doing to counter any high impact move, what the tells are of his opponent. The only thing I think Chris may still lack is the ability to make mid match adjustments on my own but that will come in time under the tutelage of Senator.
Dave finally gets up, eating a big straight right from Chris Phenomenal and then a left jab before a right to the body. Chris swings through and then looks to knock Dave down with a discus right but Dave ducks the blow, and as Chris comes back around looks to take him down with a kick to the ribs but Chris blocks it, catching the leg of Dave Shadow. Dave however is unfazed by the predicament, spinning through and taking catching Chris with a Dragon Whip, cracking him in the back of the head as Chris falls over like a sack of potatoes. Dave Shadow looking on as RAF looks down at Chris Phenomenal, trying to get to his feet as he looks across the ring at Senator, shaking his head and pointing at Chris who gets the message. Chris grabs RAF as he tries to get to his feet as Dave Shadow runs across the ring and hitting the far ropes.
CRACK!
Dave Shadow is laid out as Senator looks at his cane smiling, RAF having been pre-occupied with Chris Phenomenal struggling to his feet not having seen a thing though. Upon turning around however and seeing Dave Shadow laid out in front of Senator, the veteran referee looks at Senator and before throwing his arm outwards, ejecting Senator from ringside.
McNally: He just threw Senator out from ringside after that attack on Dave Shadow!
Edison: He’s lucky he didn’t get Chris Phenomenal disqualified.
