The scene opens up with the shot of a torn American flag. The old draped over flag's fringe blows slowly in the wind, the stain covered flag looks to be about 30 years old. The camera moves down and to the left, as it moves it reveals a dirty old wall until it stops at a row of rusty bars. Prison-like, dirty, dark, and rusted. The Reprobate walks in to the shot, standing behind the bars.
The Reprobate: The American dream. You're living it, Star-Man. Success, respect, and happiness. You are in a position that many men across the country would kill to be in. I am one of those men. But you've turned a blind eye to the facts, Star-Man. You like to think that you're living the dream... but that's just what it is. A dream. In reality, you're a pawn. A fake. See, as you hold that United States title around your shoulder, what you don't realize is that you aren't a true American. Your mind is phased by a facade of lies and cliches. You put that belt to shame.
Rep lowers his head and grabs the bars.
The Reprobate: People will tell you that you are an American hero. How can an American hero be someone who is so far from what an American is? The average American isn't a good guy. The average American is a guy like me. Someone that will do anything to get what they want. The average American is someone like Damian DeNiro. A guy who won't show up unless the money is right, no matter how many people want him back. Even though I was gunning at DeNiro for his US Championship, I knew that he was a good US champion. But I could be better. Star-Man, you simply aren't the average American. You can't represent these people. They want you to, because they want someone better than them to be the representation for them so they don't have to change. Let's stop playing pretend. Give the people a champion that rightly represents them. Corruption. Predetation. Assault. Rape. Murder. Are these the words that describe Star-Man? If not, you holding that belt says otherwise. Those words describe The Reprobate to a T.
Rep bangs on the bars which creates a loud echoing thud.
The Reprobate: I'm getting my shot at your championship this Saturday on SND, a show that I debuted on here in GWF. Back in September 2007, The Reprobate joined GWF. A year and a half. A year and a half without a singles title run on FNB, aside from the Hardcore championship. Is that all I am? A hardcore hack? So be it... but if I can't get in to the US division because of my style... I won't be changing my style any time soon. I'm going to have to change the division. A champion who has never been to jail? What kind of American are you, Star-Man? I've been to jail. ...That's American. You're too clean cut. The US division isn't your average championship division, Star-Man. You have to be keen on the American ways. I am. Are you? I don't think so. In China... if you're caught stealing, they cut off your hands. In Indonesia... if you're caught running from the police, they cut off your feet. In Thailand... if you're caught lying, they cut off your tongue.
...And in America... if you're caught stealing championships... I'll steal them back.
The camera zooms away from Rep's face and then slowly zooms in on his shirt...
