Name: "Mr. K.O." Kudo Yasuda
Sex (M/F): Male
Orientation (H/F): Face
Age: 20
Height: 5’9’'
Weight: 195 lbs
Hometown: Kyoto, Japan
Wrestling Style: Explosive Striker/Japanese Junior Heavyweight style
Entrance Music: “Poison” by Takashi Sorimachi
Entrance Description: The arena lights dim and then suddenly flash periodically with the opening guitar riffs of “Poison” until the lights slowly come back fully on. Kudo Yasuda is seen at the top, and begins walking down the aisle.
Physical Description: Japanese man with a tannish complexion, short black hair usually sticking up.
Character History: Kudo Yasuda was raised in America at an early age and was a child building up animosity to his strict and abusive businessman father, who shunned his son’s idea of wrestling as a career. Turmoil and tension had built up in the Yasuda household until finally, when Kudo was 14 years old, his parents had gotten a divorce and as his father disowned him, Kudo's mother had gained custody of him. The two moved back to Japan where Kudo had gained a new sense of optimism and craved the possibilities in Pro-Wrestling that Japan had to offer. Training under strict Japanese masters who taught him mat work and how to control his powerful strikes, Kudo worked himself to build a physique and carry out his career as a professional wrestler. The spite he had towards his father fueled his desire and the intensity with which he executed techniques. Being smaller than most wrestlers, the feeling of being weaker and getting put down by his father has infused into Kudo’s mindset. At times this anger brings about his inexperienced and careless side---but it also brings about a desire to win. Oftentimes is known for completely knocking out opponents, earning him the nickname "Mr. K.O."
Further Wrestling Background:
Kudo was considered to be a top class student in the TigerArts school in Kyoto and was hyped to be the school's answer within the annual tournament in the Zodiac network of schools it belonged in. But Kudo was suddenly released with dishonor from TigerArts due to an incident where he viciously injured a fellow student due to his dangerous temper. The network of schools was to honor this decision and not let Kudo join into any of their own schools. However, after weakened bonds within the network itself, the DragonArts dojo, namely head instructor Senzo "The Sensei" Sakai, offered Kudo a second chance and tried to control his temper - as well as allow him an opportunity to embrace his larger than life dream, R3.
Kudo is thought to be a genius at wrestling, though it is overshadowed by his brash anger at times, contributed to by his inexperienced youth. Was known as the Yin Yang Dragon at the DragonArts school due to his 2 completely different moods, and the everlasting process in balancing both. Eventually, Kudo graduated and had his first official wrestling match in Alpha Championship Wrestling.
Kudo also transitioned at one point into The Great KUDA early in 2006, where he completely embraced his Yin side and acted on his beastly instincts in the ring. He carried a white ARMADA flag into the ring and would make imprints on it using his opponents' own blood. Having lost many of his matches, it appeared that his motive was not to win, but to hurt. This beast was finally broken when his longtime teacher at DragonArts, Senzo Sakai was sent to the hospital and ACW veteran Steve "The Senator" Philips urged for the old Kudo Yasuda to emerge once again for his retirement match.
Since then, Kudo Yasuda has continued his career, branching out into SPIRIT and Lion's Road to the now Maple Leaf Wrestling Alliance, where he hopes to gain more attention for his cause, R3, pitching for the utmost respect for junior heavyweights around the world.

Primary Finisher: Yakuza Knee*****
Description: A powerful running twisting knee strike with the leg extending after impact. Done in many ways: off the ropes, to counter, off of a knee, while opponent is down on both knees, off the top rope, etc. Kudo can get very creative with this move.
Variations of the basic Yakuza Knee:
***Enzui-Style: A Yakuza Knee aimed and striking directly in the back of an opponent’s head.
**Eraser Style: A unique angled back flipping version of the Yakuza Knee. Many times pulled off after a springboard off the ropes.
*Execution Style: A rare version is the Execution style Yakuza Knee, where the opponent is on both knees before taking the Yakuza Knee directly with their chin.
Secondary Finisher: Any of the high impact trademark moves
Desperation Move: Poison Mist*
Description: Spitting colored mist in the opponent’s face. Mist takes the form of many colors and disables/confuses victims for a few seconds. Is usually a prelude to the Yakuza Knee or another big move. Kudo pulls this out at very rare moments, and primarily only as a heel.
Desperation Finisher: Yakuza Knee*****(same as primary)
Mega Move Finisher: Sayonara (From Okinawa)
Description: A Go 2 Sleep only Kudo leaps up at his opponent using his entire body backing the knee strike at the end.
Move Set:
Trademarks:
NOTE: The stars (*) represent how often Kudo might use one of these in a match.
***** = Practically every match
* = Very scarcely
Stars go up by 1 or so if in a high profile match or PPV match.
1) ***K.O. Exploder (A high angle Exploder suplex, can also be done wrist clutch or avalanche style. New Variation as of 1/1/2006: A high angle Capture suplex. Basically a high angle Exploder only Kudo hooks the leg instead of just grabbing it as in a regular Exploder suplex. Can also pull it off avalanche style or hold for a pin.
www.wrestlingencyclopedia.com/Moves2/capturesuplex.wmv)
2) ***Heel Hook (Kudo wraps his arm around the opponent’s heel and has his legs hooked around the opponent’s for added pressure/clinching. It can be rolled into and locked in a flash, for example, after feigning a dragon screw. Kudo has used this move quite a lot recently in replacement of his old Dragon Constrictor submission, and has become a legitimate match ender.)
3) *****Spiral Dropkick (Basically a twisting in the air dropkick that can also be done missile style from the top rope)
4) ****Brainbuster (The classic. Can pull it of avalanche style, also has weird effect on commentators that makes them yell “BRAINBUSTAAAAH!!” when performed)
5) **Yin Yang Suplex (A half dragon half tiger suplex or 3/4 Full Nelson Suplex: one arm hooks into a half nelson like a dragon suplex and the other arm hooks back like a tiger suplex and opponent is then flipped back into a suplex, damaging the head/shoulder area.)
6) ***Roaringiri (A spinning twist in midair to Enzuigiri. Oftentimes used as a way to shift the tide of a match or to counter another move but can also be used as a knockout blow following a combination of strikes.)
7) **Flashback Elbow (A basic handspring elbow off the ropes and back. Can also pull off different Flashback moves at rare times like a “Flashback Roaringiri” but the elbow is most common. Like Tajiri did it. After recent issues with injuries, Kudo avoids more unecessary risk and so he doesn't use this move much anymore.)
Normal/Weardown Moves:
(Being a match writer myself, I know that minor things annoy me when I'm searching through the list of moves to find something to use in a certain situation, so I'm going to break off these moves to different types. Maybe it'll give a little bit of extra ease for match writers handling my character.
STRIKES:
1) Forearm strikes
2) Hard swift kicks to opponent’s thigh or body or shoulder(whichever is focused on during the match. Also performs combos by linking kicks with forearm shots/backhand chops/other strikes and usually finishes with a Roaringiri upon gaining the momentum. This could potentially end a match if the strike is powerful enough or the opponent is fatigued.)
3) Roundhouse Kick (A powerful circular swinging strike, usually aimed towards the head. Usually gets a good bit of hooplah from the commentators.)
4) Rolling Koppou/Liger Kick (Front/Side roll with legs striking opponent’s head.)
5) Dropkick
6) Rapid knee strikes/mid kicks while opponent is on turnbuckles
GRAPPLE:
1) DDT (Can also hold onto headlock and wrap legs around opponent in a guillotine choke submission)
2) Backdrop
3) Rapid Arm Drag
4) Bulldog (As a heel: usually done wildly while grasping on the opponent’s hair.)
5) Headscissors whip
6) Snapmare (generally follows up with a swift kick to their back or a dropkick to back of head or Kudo bounces off the ropes and does a running front dropkick to their face.)
SUBMISSION:
1) Dragon Sleeper
2) Camel Clutch (Commonly used as a set up for other submission variations. When opponent is fighting out, Kudo can pull the opponent up and switch to a dragon sleeper/constrictor before they can reach the ropes, or may just transition to a stronger submission. Kudo also enjoys yelling things at the crowd or his opponent while pulling his head back.)
3) Grounded Front Headlock with knee strikes
4) Dragon Constrictor (*A move still in Kudo’s arsenal, but he very rarely ever uses this move anymore. He prefers to use the much quicker heel hook these days* When fully locked, it’s a dragon sleeper with one of the opponent’s arms held across his own neck with Kudo locking his legs around the opponent’s body. Many times is forced to execute without a leg lock or arm hook, but is devastating when it is fully applied. Usually transitioned into using the Camel Clutch. --See Normal/Weardown Moves:SUBMISSION #2--)
SPECIAL PINS:
1) La Magistral Pin
2) Backslide Pin
3) School Boy
(Generally Kudo is growing adept at all kinds of cradle pins and creative covers, so Kudo can use an array of them if you wish.)
Miscellaneous Moves/Taunts:
-Kip/Nip up
-Shakes head a lot
-Yells during the match a lot. (Yells in Japanese when especially angry)
-Holds up index finger and shakes it back and forth while shaking head as if saying, “Nice try” (usually done after countering a move and coming face to face with the opponent)
-Claps hands together after an athletic exchange or moves to will the crowd into the match
-Pumps fists and yells in accordance to crowd reactions during a certain point of a big match, signaling a desire to win
-Delayed Sell (Takes a big move from the opponent but gets right back up and hits one of his own before feeling the effect of the first move. Usually leaves both men down for a referee countdown.)
-Adrenaline Rush (Feeling a big boost of adrenaline and connecting a chain of several big moves, or hitting one move many times in a row i.e. Brainbusters, an insane number of trapping headbutts, rapid punch/chop/kicking combinations etc. Usually follows an episode of enragement.)
Strategy
Game Plan: (What does your character look to do in order to succeed.)
Kudo tests the limits of himself as well as his opponent early in the match, not hesitating to bring out the hardest kicks in his arsenal at the ringing of the first bell. General strategy becomes to wear down opponent, working the mat with his strikes and focusing on his opponent's head/shoulder area. While by no means a prominent highflyer, Kudo is known to take it to the top rope or springboard in cases that warrant them.
