So, being that Omega Effect V is coming up really soon - I've taken it upon myself to attempt to alter the boards a bit to give it a 2009 sort of feel. The design now we have is perfectly fine, but even Latino every year added a new design to the boards and I feel like we're overdue for a new design - even if most of you will end up just going back to Golden Fox or the Red Skin design.
Nonetheless, I'd be glad to hear your suggestions on possibly a new color scheme for the boards.
Also, I'm gonna attempt to clean up the boards a bit and make things a lot more organized and updated - so if there's anything you'd like to see organized or cleaned up, please speak your mind.
So, hopefully I get a lot of feedback.

I'd love to see the Valet/Manager board back.
I would get rid of the prediction boards. Nobody hardly uses them and I have always hated doing it because I feel like it's a popularity contest that just spurns bad feelings.
I would have ONE match request board and get rid of three of them.
As far as skins go, I've been Golden Fox since Latino redid the entire site and board in that design. I personally like a black background because it's easier for me to read white on black. If we are chaging our colors, how about black, gray and blue?

Definitely agree on the color scheme, TK. I've been writing all of my stuff in blue and white because it looks great on the black background, which I usually get on shows.

I saw we make the Red and Black skin the default again. THAT IS ACW AND I WILL NEVER TURN BACK FROM IT <_<

Hmm
Either have it so the site is the number one focus, or make a lot of the information that is in hard-to-find places more promenant on the boards. I'm talking useful topics on the ACW Facts boards, like the Matches List, Senator's rough sketch of the arena, to stuff that isn't on the boards, like a list of title wins and stuff. At the minute we have half the stuff on the site, and the other half on the boards. It needs to all be in one place. I can give a suggested list of things that could be considered "essential ACW" if you want.
And speaking of which, I think that there needs to be a lot of things that are expanded on. Stuff like the ACW Staff board which, despite being told that it would be expanding over the future, hasn't. Indeed, it still says Stephan Russo is a chairman. That could be very confusing to new members. Additionally, there are topics all around the boards that haven't been updated in a very long time, such as the rules of ACW/Fallout, things like that.
Which brings me to a glossary. We do get asked where ACW is or what Fallout is. A concise glossary explaining the ACW Island, what each show is, what former titles were (and why) would be great for newcomers.
I agree with TK. Get rid of the Predictions board. Or at least only have one for PPVs. I think it's an outdated format and unless it's still part of the Calcs, it's an uneeded part of the fed.
That's all I can think of so far for tidying up the boards.
As for the designs, I always switch between red & gold and the blue design. Red and black is meh, and gold and grey is naff (at least the font). So really, do what you want there.

I agree, it would be a tremendous improvement if the site was updated with all of that information on clearly accessible pages. I find myself digging to find information on the message board, which gets annoying after a while.

What would I like, aw come on BK that's easy, A Lee Homicide less ACW. That fucker is eventually gonna take my title off of me and I don't like that. >_> love ya Lee. That and Freeman getting rid of his title belt. On a more serious note, I agree with the cleanups, suggested by TK, and might suggest although I donno how practical it is, to make the fallout boards one password protected board and then the same sub boards. Or make them hidden boards and post the link in a sticky in Social OOC to clean up the main front, while also keeping them around. I also found a neat code earlier for a automated welcome PM to be sent out. support.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=codedatabase&action=display&n=1&thread=70552 that I think would be a great addition, with links to the guides, Jonny Spade, AK, Dan and maybe a few other senior members who could help ease the transition. I'd also like to see the color scheme TK suggested, as well as maybe adding to the top a table (Jake and I can set this up easy as we made one earlier) that shows the champions, and the upcoming card because I think the match writing header for where the card is posted is quite misleading for newer members. I'm sure in the morning I'll think of a few more things but I'm tired.

I agree with the sacking of the predictions boards, save for the PPV ones, as well as the match request boards.
I'd also like to see the in-character boards brought back, with guidelines warning newcomers that it is NOT where you post promos.

I'm sure in the morning I'll think of a few more things but I'm tired. Having the champions and cards at the top of the forum is what every fed does, I like that ACW doesn't have that because not only is it cliche but it's a chore scrolling past every time you want to load a page. I also suggest making the PM link accessible at the top of the page, when you load the board the PMs load at the top and then disappear. I don't think that the color or skin thing is an issue though, because you can change them all in your profile anyway. I think the main site with the upcoming card and champions would be great. Hell, actually we should be having the cards being posted on the website like a real promotion, that would be cool. We could have a topic on the forum too for discussion, but the reason I suggest the card being posted on the site is that rarely does someone have anything to say about the card other than the obligatory positive remarks that really don't mean much. I'd like to see that, if someone were up for updated it every week.

I'd like to see that, if someone were up for updated it every week. I could do that quite easily on the site as long as it's already set up and is simply just changing it every couple of days. Lord knows I've got enough time on my hands with this knee.

Remember it'd have to be twice a week, because we have two shows a week.
I've always thought that we should either try and give the site more focus, or just scrap it all together. I don't think I've even checked the site in the last 6 months or so, because I can easily find everything on the boards. Not saying that's Jake's fault at all, it's just something that I think could be solved.

I told Jake to tell me how to do the HTML for the site, then let me take over for him cause I would have that updated after pretty much every PPV and also adding little bits of information through the month, but he refused to do it. TK's color scheme works. And Dan has the right idea too. Like we said before, the boards are very cluttered for newcomers, and I've brought enough confused people into this fed to know how weird it is at first for them, and how agitated they get when trying to find old ACW information, or sometimes even new information.

I know I'd love to help as I'm absolute balls at computer crap, but really would like to learn.

Yeah, updating the site twice a week isn't exactly a big chore. It's a quick copy and paste job.

Colours dont really bother me as I can adjust to which ever colours are set. But I think an actual design for the forums would be pretty cool rather than just seeing the default looking rectangles all the time.
Then again I can do this all myself so it doesnt really matter lol. But if you need help with this BK let me know. =D
