Entrance Description
Sarin is all smiles as she slides into view to the upbeat music of "Lady." Lenny Kravitz's staccato guitar chords accent her skippy gait down to ringside. She exchanges hand slaps with a few fans stretching to reach her and skips up the steps to the apron. Ever the lady, Sarin enters the ring with a slow bend between the bottom ropes, back arching in a crowd pleasing entrance. She waves to the energetic crowd, mounting a turnbuckle and raising a finger to the ceiling. Sarin loosens up in the center of the ring, bouncing on the balls of her boot-clad feet, waiting patiently for the bell to ring.
Physical Appearance
A mixture of French, Irish, and Indian, Sarin is a unique, exotic beauty, with dark brown hair and alluring emerald eyes. She's quite pale, her skin a creamy shade of white. Her smile is mischievous, and ruby red lips frame pearly white, even teeth. Her body is fairly slender, and her lifelong devotion to yoga grants her an uncanny flexibility. Her overall demeanor is one of kindness and warmth, though there is a definite strength and resolve behind her friendly exterior. Poser is French actress Eva Green.
Apparel
Inspired by couture designers, Sarin crafts her distinctive ring attire by attending numerous fashion shows. Her latest look draws from Chanel's Fall 2009 ready-to-wear collection, almost lifted directly from Lagerfeld with few edits. She dons a little black dress with a low plunging neckline and long sleeves. The hem of her tight skirt hangs mid-thigh, but Sarin protects her modesty by slipping on tight black wrestling shorts underneath, to prevent up-skirt shots. She wraps a matching black belt around her middle, hanging just below the plunging V neckline. The look exposes quite a bit of leg, and Sarin tops (or bottoms?) it off with heeled black combat ankle boots. Visual available here.
Character History
Born on April 5, 1986 to a struggling single mother in Agra, India, Sarin never expected her life to be anything special. Misfortune struck as her mother died from breast cancer, too poor to afford the hospital bill. Against all odds, Sarin managed to secure passage to Ireland, where her father provided a luxurious mansion and a great education. Sarin grew resentful towards her father for living in decadence while her mother died in a street gutter. She drilled herself in martial arts in hopes of extracting vengeance. Sarin succeeded, and was forced to flee the country. She roamed the streets of Tokyo, Japan, frequenting martial arts dojos, honing her skills. Spotted by an ACW talent scout, he offered her a contract to the company. Sarin accepted, trained, and was instantly hailed as a prodigy and soared through the ranks. During her stint as a professional wrestler, she met female star Yoko Satoshi, forming a life-long loving partnership. Due to her increasing popularity, Sarin appeared on the hit ABC show Dancing with the Stars, and took a hiatus from professional wrestling. While participating in a USO tour benefiting soldiers in Iraq, Sarin discovered the plight of displaced Iraqi refugees in a war torn country. After expressing an interest, UNHCR appointed her a Goodwill Ambassador with the hope that her celebrity will increase public awareness to the Iraqi refugee crisis.
Professional History
Sarin debuted on ACW television in July of 2005 under the stage name of Scarlet (a reference to her classy red ring attire). Though she lost a World Title contest to Yoko Satoshi, she proved the skeptics wrong by hosting a beautiful, tough fought match. Eager to get into the title scene, Sarin entered and lost a Diva Battle Royale for the Women's Title (07.28.05). Her first major upset (with some help from Yoko) was against veteran wrestler Daredevil. Sarin continued her streak by defeating much more experienced stars like V-3, Spider, and Davey Marvel. During this time, she and fellow female star Yoko Satoshi fell in love. Due to the villainous Mercer Stanton, Yoko was forced to abdicate her title and return to Japan. Unable to part, Sarin followed suit, seemingly giving up a promising career to be with her love.
While vacationing in Okinawa, Japan, Yoko and Sarin adopted the guises of superheroines, with codenames Gatogal and Frost, respectively. Gatogal wore a black cat mask coupled with a croquet mallet, while Frost donned tinted Gucci glasses and wielded a big magic folding fan. Along with Yoko's younger sister Yuki (codename Phantasm Gloria), the trio put dozens of criminals behind bars. Each adventure was broadcasted on ACW Television. Sarin and Yoko were forced to abandon their alter-egos to return to ACW to put a stop to a plot conceived by Mercer Stanton to humiliate ACW and destroy its stock. After saving ACW from certain death (03.30.06), Yoko and Sarin decided to combine forces in the ring and become an unstoppable tag team collectively known as "Flower Power."
It was a name destined for greatness. Separate, they were formidable, together they were invincible. Sarin and Yoko blazed through the tag division, finally capturing the belts at Fallen Heroes (04.29.06), defeating reigning champions the Cold Blooded Killers. Once champions, Flower Power remained undefeated for 156 days--an unprecedented length--until they retired the belts due to complete lack competition. During their run, Flower Power trampled over Hunter and Fallen Souls (05.27.06), Senator and Latino (06.01.06), Atomic Kitsune and RDK (06.12.06), Latino and BK London (06.15.06), Hunter and Dan White (06.19.06), Chance and Umeko (07.29.06), Wyvern and Sean (08.17.06), Hunter and Torak (08.26.06), and BK London and Jake Cheng (09.07.06), all of which were either former Tag Team Champions themselves or current Main Events. Despite attempts to drive Sarin and Yoko apart, Chance and Umeko only succeeded in cementing their deep, unconditional love.
Sarin wasn't just a juggernaut in the tag division. She captured numerous wins against ACW legends, suffering next to no defeats. Displaying impressive nerve, cunning, and strategy, Sarin stampeded over Scott Andrews (05.08.06), Fallen Souls (05.18.06), BK London (07.13.06), Latino (08.10.06), and Hitman of the Gods (09.21.06). In King of the Death Match 2006, Sarin reached the final round after eliminating Fallen Souls, Santiago Rivera, and Latino before finally losing to Yoko Satoshi in an Exploding Cage Death Match. Sarin competed in a World Title Rumble (05.27.06) against many other superstars for Atomic Kitsune's title. Sarin outlasted nearly all the combatants but was finally struck down by Chance after several blatantly illegal moves by him and his partner Umeko, leaving only Chance, Jack Conner, and Atomic Kitsune in the ring (Atomic Kitsune would walk away still champion).
Perhaps greater than all aforementioned achievements was Sarin's dedication to hard work, fair play, and genuine kindness. Her popularity amongst fans helped her to secure the title of Sexiest Diva of 2006 (alongside partner Yoko) and a spot on the hit reality show, Dancing with the Stars. Returning once more to regular ACW television, Sarin entered a TV personality contract with Ginger to make regular appearances on the shows. During Seven Deadly Sins (07.29.07), it was revealed that Sarin cheated on Yoko with Senatorial Stable member Rattlesnake. After realizing Sarin's frequent disappearances were a direct result of her dalliance with Rattlesnake, an angered Yoko ordered her out of their locker room. Off to a rocky start, Sarin left ACW once more, unable to handle the emotional trauma of a crazed Yoko and the cruel abuse from the Senatorial Stable.
In a surprise turn of events, Sarin returned to ACW Television in response to an open challenge from current International Champion, Danny Mainer, knocking him out with her famed Rin Spin (03.31.08). She feuded with the brash Mainer for his Championship belt, reuniting with partner Rattlesnake to take out Mainer and ANTHRAX (04.14.08). Though moments away from capturing the title at Fallen Heroes, Mainer attacked the referee with a steel chair and disqualified himself from the match (04.26.08). Meanwhile, Cesare Damiano requested Sarin's aid to stop a satanic ritual from granting the Machiavellian Cardinal Damiano--manipulated by Mercer Stanton, no less--immeasurable power. With Sarin's help, the ritual was botched, and Mercer Stanton fled (04.26.08).
After hearing Aiden Joseph flaunt his ego in an interview, Sarin cut him down a size or two, instigating a bitter rivalry. She endured the wrath of Anna Sommers after an accident left Sarin and Aiden in a compromising position. At Anna's insistence, Aiden and Thunder Train challenged Sarin and Rattlesnake to a tag match. After successfully fending off both attacks (05.08.08), Sarin became the victim of a dancing sabotage on her return to the hit show Dancing with the Stars. Fed up, she dressed Aiden up as his former persona, Thunderkiss, a move that would lead Aiden to challenge her to Leather and Lace III for the ACW World Title at Spring Into Hell. With Sarin handcuffed to the ropes, Yoko Satoshi arrived and nailed the Flying Guillotine on Aiden. After a final Rin Spin, Sarin walked away the twenty-first ACW World Champion (05.25.08).
Winning the belt turned out to be the high point in Sarin's short lived title reign. Though she had successful title defenses against veterans Nick Durden (06.02.08) and Alexander Starkweather (06.09.08), eerie phenomena plagued the rest of her championship. Precognitive visions frequented the weary champion and regret over her failed relationship with Yoko tired her out. With her resistances down, Sarin fell prey to a kidnap attempt by a government agency sent to investigate her recurring precognitive abilities (06.09.08). One week later, she returned nearly unrecognizable and quite mad. Sensing something far more sinister at work, Yuki (under the guise of Phantasm Gloria) investigated the agency and discovered its true purpose: the abduction of female psychics deemed unworthy to wield such power by the misogynists masterminding the operation (06.20.08).
Under ordinary circumstances, Sarin could maintain control of her psionic abilities, but her guilt over the murder of her father sent her spiraling out of control. With Yuki's assistance, Yoko managed to anchor Sarin back to sanity in a dramatic confrontation, but not without its costs. At Omega Effect, the weakened Sarin lost her title match against Fallen Souls, and as the Satoshi sisters' investigative work uncovered the truth about her father's demise, Sarin became a wanted woman by the Irish authorities (06.28.08). Offered the chance to escape, Sarin chose to turn herself in and opted to atone for her father's death in her own way, leaving ACW (seemingly) for good.
During her stint in prison, Sarin had the pleasure of fending off a prison break revenge attack from her old rival Thunderkiss (06.01.09). Unbeknown to her at the time, the prison break was a set up staged by Yoko and Orochi, who lived up to their tag team name and orchestrated a show for the prison guards: Sarin was to be found locked back in her cell, apparently refusing a chance at freedom in favor of subduing other prisoners from escaping, revealed during Seven Deadly Sins (08.01.09). The warden was so impressed with Sarin's moral fiber that he promptly released her, and Sarin returned to ACW a free woman.
At first difficult to readjust to life outside the slammer, Sarin found pleasant company in her boyfriend Rattlesnake, dear friend Yuki, and tentative partner Yoko. Somewhat put off by her more cynical attitude and smoking habit, Yuki and Snake tried to make Sarin's stay more comfortable, but she found herself drifting toward fellow loner Yoko. Caught in the excitement of the burgeoning tag division, Yoko and Sarin reconstituted Flower Power on an edition of Meltdown, signing contracts with Ginger (08.13.09). The road to Heatwave proved tumultuous: both Flower Power and G-Unit yearned for a shot at the titles held by the nefarious legendary team BK London and Jay Zero, and Ginger accommodated both their requests, setting up a six person elimination match for the titles. After driving a wedge between Sarin and Yoko, London and Zero almost succeeded in tossing Sarin off a balcony.
This, however, only fueled Flower Power's desire for the titles. On the international stage, Yoko and Sarin faced off against the other two dominant tag teams in ACW history for the coveted titles. In quite the shocking display, BK London eliminated Yoko early on in the match after a Revolver into a steel chair. It was up to Sarin to outlast the other four competitors in the match in order to secure championship gold for her team. In the match of her career, Sarin fought tooth and nail, enduring pain beyond pain until she squared off against rival BK London one-on-one. After a back-and-forth showcase of each wrestler's talent, Sarin successfully executed her devastating Rin Roll to capture the titles for her team (08.29.09).
