This is the chapter I guess where I come off as a bit of an arsehole, I suppose. You see, back in Spring/early Summer, it became apparent that there was a bit of a “kliq” going on in ACW. A group of people that seemed to be controlling the whole out-of-character scene. If I remember rightly, this group included Yoko, Vinnie Dulario, Jade, Rena, Kiji, and the main two: Ridley and Rose.
Now it was pretty apparent that those last two really, really didn't like ACW at all. That became apparent as a result of the ACW/HWL Tournament. It was that which really made me feel a bit angry at the fact that Rose was still a moderator here, because I just felt like he wasn't contributing anything good to the fed at all, that anything he was doing could have been done by someone who would have brought a lot less controversy into it all. I mean at that time, Rose wanted to completely change the fed around to one of strictly all roleplays, nothing else. Secondly, he (and Ridley) attempted to bring a lot of ACW talent over into HWL. I had nothing wrong with HWL, I just had a problem with Rose.
Me and a number of other wrestlers (which I won't name on here) had actually formed an informal anti Ridley/Rose group, and I think it cumulated in the first of three serious attempts at getting Rose removed from power. It wasn't just like a “we think he's bad for the fed k” type of thing, but a serious, formal letter. As it were, Rose was never removed from position, but I think that's the type of psychology he has. He's very good at talking, and making people think they're wrong when they're not. I can't help but think maybe this was the case every so often in this case as well.
Anyways, the group I mentioned disbanded after Bladeshadow was kicked out of the fed. Blade was kicked out after he spoilt an entire storyline that Ridley and Rose had written. He was going to be a part of it, but he was written out of it by Ridley after they argued, sparking the reaction from Blade. Blade then became really weird on AIM. He went on as though he was a martyr because he'd gotten rid of Ridley (Ridley deleted his account after Omega Effect), and he suggested that I become a martyr and get rid of Rose, if it meant sacrificing himself. It got really odd, to the point where he was suggesting that I rallied all the troops and went to war against the “kliq”. I just thought this was so daft that I posted the convo to the mods and they dealt with it.
After the HWL/ACW Tournament, Rose pretty much vowed never to write for ACW again, and yet was still allowed to be a mod. But things had greatly relaxed, the HWL/ACW Tournament had split Yoko and Rose apart, Ridley, Kiji and Vinnie had all left, and there was no longer an OOC elitist group anymore. I haven't even explained to why I disliked them. Basically I didn't like the cut of Ridley's jip. He was a brilliant writer, sure, but I didn't like the way he seemed to be able to say whatever he wanted, no matter how racist or offensive, and simply get away with it every single time. I'm sure he must have offended everyone at least once, and even though we ridiculed Franchi$e to hell, Ridley said stuff that was a lot worse, but in the style of an old-school bully, he had that much power that nobody would dare speak out.
And then I disliked Rose because, to be absolutely blunt, he had his tongue so far up Ridley's arse that he could probably taste stomach acid. For the record, it appears that Ridley has changed a lot since those days, and he's not like that anymore, which is fair enough. But I had my reasons for disliking them, I thought they bullied a lot of people, and that they would basically handpick who would be the next ones through the ranks. Granted, they picked people who I have never had a problem with, but for the large part it was people who were basically just their friends, and with the power they had those people had basically a free passage to the top. Even if I felt like they didn't deserve it. It was like they chose who go to the top, not by people earning that spot.
Okay, that's one controversial issue out of the way. I'm yet to talk about the Lightweight Title controversy and the whole “why I don't like Wyvern” issue. I'll cover them in the next chapter, tho.
