In the months of May and June, I finished off my feud with McCarty. I had a match with him in the woefully named “Tomb of Pain” match, and I'll say no more. The feud finished at Omega Effect, where I fought my brother (this time named AJK Caveman) in a 3 Stages of Hell match, for my contract. I won the match, meaning McCarty had to leave, and I then turned heel, not only giving my girlfriend a Stunt Bomb, but also aligning with the former Chairman WCW 98, who returned in controversial style.
Not many people actually knew that WCW 98 was a character called Will Anger. I decided to talk to him one day after Ridley posted a topic saying we should all ridicule him for trying to start another fed on the Gamefaqs E-Fed board. I thought that was pretty harsh, found out that he left because he was basically bullied out of the place by the Kliq (which I'll go on about in a later chapter....I have a few stuff to go on about it seems). Anyways I wanted to bring him back as a manager, and at first the mods were pretty reluctant. They didn't really think he was going to be loyal enough to stand by for a long time, but I had faith in the dude. Turns out AK was right, and within 6 months we had stopped talking to each other.
But yeah, it was my first ever heel turn when it came to e-fedding. I felt that it was a pretty well-received turn, as it had enough shock factor in it, and was a bit different to most heel turns. I was fascinated to where the turn would take me, and after six months in the Upper Midcard, things had began to change in the Main Event. For a long time, there were just eight solid Main Eventers who were always there. They were: AK, Latino, Rose, Ridley, Blade, BK, RDK and Yoko. Senator and Hunter were accepted into it after Fallen Heroes, but then in between that PPV and the Summer Break, Blade, Ridley and Rose had all left for one reason or another.
I felt like it was the perfect time to try and break into that elite group. You have to understand that back in those days, the Roster Reshuffle was a massive deal (or it seemed like it anyways). I mean I'll admit the only reason I even look at the Roster Reshuffle nowadays is to look at who I'm booking for that particular show, but back then, because it was so hard to move up and down the ranks. Like the example I gave, writing solidly for six months straight wasn't enough to break into the Main Event, when nowadays I think you'd be able to go from Lower Midcard to Main Event in the same time, with dedicated writing.
But we were at a break with ACW. The HWL-ACW Tournament was about to start, but you probably read how that went in BK London's autobiography. As for me, I wasn't really that bothered. I was sort of celebrating the exit of one of the most controversial men in ACW...
