November began with BK London's angle where he was driven off a bridge and lost his Entertainment Title. I think that was part of the repercussions of his whole suspension. I didn't know much about this because I was still a newbie, but I do remember BK making a fuss about a match between himself and Jack Fury, where he claimed he was squashed. I personally didn't see much wrong with it but I could see where he was coming from.
Anyways, ACW had quick become my favourite hobby, and I was pretty gutted when I had to go on holiday during early November. Pretty much throughout the holiday I was thinking up of scenarios that could be played out in ACW, and I came up with what I thought was a pretty awesome angle between myself and the new Entertainment Champion, Predator, who had won a Battle Royale for the vacant title. I've forgotten the details now but I just remember it being pretty awesome. However I came back from holiday to find out that Predator had lost the title to Kain.
Kain was a bit of an oddball. For some reason he was allowed to stay with a differently-spelt WWE character, same gimmick and everything. You don't need a second guess to assume who I mean. He also lost a lot, and complained a lot about losing, even though it was clear to why he didn't win: he simply did not write. But for some reason, he returned early November and the mods decided to give him a push, and have him beat a few opponents. I know he beat JonnyG (Jonny Spade to you newbloods) and of course Predator. I can't remember many other matches, but either way he was given a push.
I asked for a feud and he agreed to give it to me. Now it wasn't the same feud as the one I'd planned with Predator, nor was it extraordinary by today's standards, but it really felt to me like the first decent feud I'd had. It was well planned, the segments were pretty funny, and I managed to play off Kain's coattails and pick up a good few wins that month. It ended up with me winning the Entertainment Title in a Ladder Match at Hellbound Heart, the November PPV.
For some reason after that, I kept in contact with Kain. He sorta fell off the ACW spectrum, but he looked to me for help getting his gimmick back into shape. It didn't help though that at this point he was harrasing a certain ACW member who was held in high esteem by the “clique” as it were at that time, so the entire fed was practically shunning him, apart from me. Again, I don't know why I kept in contact with him, but I just happened to. I stopped talking to him though when he started banging on about being a manic depressive. He became really weird at that point.
It was around now where I got a chance to flex my creativity. Ridley gave me the blessing to write a Fallout episode that week. Fallout wasn't the Fallout we know today, and was more of a variety show, with no wrestling. I loved the style of shows back then and I'd really welcome something like that to return, although along with a concrete Fallout structure. Basically I just had it like a television show, with candid moments and interviews. I thought it went pretty well, if I say so myself.
December came along and I was thrown into a feud with Bob and Jake Cheng. Originally I wanted to make it a 5 way bout because Sgt. Pilko (who was, at this time, an independent writer, although not my brother) and 004 were engaged in a feud for the number one contendership for my title, and this was also a mod scheme to push somebody, in this case 004. But I had to go with the Triple Threat, and at Winter's Discontent we had a Wrestlemania 16-esque match. Us three would fight in two matches, first for the Entertainment Title and then for the Lightweight Title.
I ended up losing both matches and thus lost my title, despite not actually being pinned in either of the matches. I was a bit annoyed at that, and felt that I should have walked out with at least one of the belts. But in hindsight, I pretty much just stepped back and let Bob control the feud. I didn't write much, so I probably deserved what I got. But surprisingly, I had been promoted to Upper Midcard, and 2005 was looking to be the year of the Dragon.
