So, I was back in GFWCW and working with whom would be two of my most relied upon friends here at ACW, Atomic Kitsune for one. I have to say this about AK... if it wasn't for her there would not be any ACW right now. I'm not just saying that because she handled nearly all the writing.
It is partly that but there was also a time in ACW where it was basically her and I running ACW. No disrespect to any past/current mods today but during a given period, possibly before Yoko came up as mod, Ak and I were really handling all the responsibilities that mods were doing. Whomever were the mods then I think were losing interest in their responsibilities or were just getting caught up in their own lives. It's understandable but honestly I was angry by it. Yes, this is just the internet and a game but I feel like when we took our positions as a mod we did so to help not only the fed but the few people in control. If one or two people slack, hey that's ok we still have a good three other people to help. But if three to four people start slacking then there's a problem. So, I feel like Atomic and I were being overworked. We had to handle every issue, suggestion, show, ppv, etc all on our shoulders. I know without her.. well we all know how EWA went and ACW would've probably went the same route.
The second person was Chairman Ginger. Yes he does exist and he was once a very, very active mod, at least in public. See Ginger slowly progressed to being a more behind the scenes mod. His public image became more of a character in ACW but when ever problems arose or issues had to be handled Ginger would always be there to put in his input. He and I always would discuss with me what i should do. So I thank him for always being there.
So to have these two people it was great. They gave me the support I needed especially at a time when we really had no idea how to handle an e-fed. It was literally us saying let's have fun. We did just that. I think everyone in the fed was new to this so no one had any true complaints. We just role played in the way we knew. If you haven't check out ACW's first shows and you'll see how far we have come. I myself was having lots of fun. I decided to go into a tag team with AK and we quickly won tag gold. I think it just made sense for us to start to work together because we knew we could rely on one another and perhaps it was comforting. This was back when the tag scene was actually alive and honestly I don't feel like it has ever reclaimed it's youth to this day. As the months went on word went around that WWE were closing down efeds. I don't know if this really was true but it prompted us to leave the GFWCW moniker and become Alpha Championship Wrestling. This brought on a new site, board, and overlall... an identity. We were no more just a carbon copy of WWE/WCW but free to be our own fed. It was the perfect step to growing up I'd say.
I then got a request from RDK. At the time he was playing the commissioner in ACW. He asked me how did i feel about feuding with Ridley. The one thing I have to say about Ridley is that he is a great writer but at least during his ACW stay he had a horrible attitude and honestly brought moral down for a lot of people. He was also the side effect of a lot of problems that I had to try to solve due to his altercations with various people. But at this time RIdley and I were on good terms and it wouldn't be atleast a year or so before he and I would lose the friendship we had. So I took RDK up on the offer. I figured this would be great. We started the feud but come Heatwave 04 I had to quickly pull out. In what would sadly become a summer tradition, I had family coming to visit and stay in my room. This meant I wouldn't have full access to my computer and I had to cut the feud short. It sucks but there was no other option. I didn't want anyone handling my own workload. There was a blessing in this in that AK/Ridley would be able to go on with their own feud. It would become a classic ACW feud.
This would though prompt me to return and finally give my character the depth it needed...
