~!~CRACK~!~ Dashing through the crowd, a quick and mysterious figure jumps over the barrier and catches Jake Steele square in the back of his head with a hard elbow, which causes him to fall and stumble up the ramp. This man, his face invisible to the naked eye thanks a mask, catches Steele before he can move up the ramp any further and he spins him around - lunging his foot forward with a Roundhouse Kick!
This knocks the wind out of Steele completely as the World Title flies up the ramp and his body crashes down onto it. This man walks up to Steele and stands over his body, breathing heavily it seems. A black mask dawned upon his face, almost luchadore style, as it obviously contains some hair inside of it. On his back, a jacket with the front open so his chest is seen and a single sleeve covering his left arm. Below that are leather pants.
The crowd falling deadly silent, they quietly watch on as now it's clear that either another attacker has emerged, or the real attacker never left...Maxwell McNally: Who... is this? "Fast" Eddie Edison: I have no clue. But even with that mask on, you can sense the anger building within him, for whatever reason. Reaching for the lone sleeve of his jacket, the man behind the shadows slowly pulls away the fabric and once he does... everything becomes clear. The armband on his arm... it reads: R-3!"Fast" Eddie Edison: It... it... can't be! Maxwell McNally: ... Those who know what this means begin to explode with cheers, while most others keep their mouths closed because they aren't sure whether they should be cheering or jeering, despite the infamous Armband.
Then... he decides to kill of the hype as he reaches for his mask. He places his hand on the chin of it and begins to pull back... and instead of short black hair, we see long, purple hair... and those who were cheering begin cheering even louder, as those who were silent are quick to voice their opinions with loud disapproval.
Because what they see before them is a member of the illustrious ARMADA, but it isn't who you think... the camera pans around to reveal the man's face, and as they do before us we see... Fallen Souls.Maxwell McNally: ...FSX was behind it the entire time! FSX is the attacker! "Fast" Eddie Edison: B-but why!? That's a answer for an entirely different night. Fallen Souls now has what he wants. A form of gratitude that only he can achieve. Though the blood spread across Steele's body isn't by his hand, he still has that deep down feeling that tonight he has done something right. His message is sent. His target is clear.
The World Heavyweight Championship... is his.
Fade to Black.

What a shady defense but a defense nonetheless.

Disclaimer: These picks are of course my opinion. My opinion is neither right or wrong its just what I think. So if you don’t make the list, please do not feel that I don’t like you, what you wrote or that your promos were not as good as the one’s I have listed. I really don’t want people to get discouraged over things like these. Please, please realize that with the amount of talented writers that we have it’s a super tough job picking out just five promos. Also, I do not pick my own segments. As much as marking for one’s self can do wonders for one’s self esteem, there is not a place for it here.I would like to say that I love the current stable situation here in ACW. We have four very different stables, each with their own unique flavor. We have the Empire, a classic nationalistic group of fine British gentlemen. Then we have the Faith, a completely inane duo that’s long past due for a mental health examination. Team Macho, or the Mega Star Alliance as they are called, are now coming into their own and have a ton of potential. Finally, the Entou ... errr ..... the Road Steelers have been sitting back for months, quietly kicking ass and dominating the top storylines. I’ve always been a big fan of stable warfare and with the current number of awesome groups in ACW, I expect to see more of it! So don’t disappoint! THUNDERKISS’ EPIC WINS! - “You Again?” by Jake Steele & Hollywood Mach. “What’s next, You gonna start going by Randy Kanyon?” That line cracked me up. I always like it when you take two heels and slap them together in a promo. A contest to see who has the biggest ego usually ensues and that was the case here.
- “If You Don’t Know Me by Now” by Dave Shadow. Gotta love the underdog role and Dave sure portrays it well in this promo. He’s got the whole Rocky “one more punch and you’re done.” thing going on and how does that not make people cheer for you? Especially when you are fighting against a bunch of British guys! Go Dave! USA! USA! USA! >.>
- “Search ‘N’ Rescue” by Jack Jefferson. Last show ol’ Jefferson left us with a bit of a cliffhanger and it was good to see him follow through with its conclusion. He may have stopped breathing but definitely didn’t stop being entertaining. For the record, I enjoyed his entire series of promos on this show, but had to pick one.
- “Taking Out the Garbage” by AC Evans & Danny Mainer. Well, say what you want about the newer version of the faith, just don’t call them less ruthless than before. The beating of Wayde was written perfectly to convey their intolerance towards failure AND decency.
- “Saturday Night Fever”by Chris Phenomenal, Hollywood Mach and Rawt.70's music? Check. Angry hippies? Check. Tee shirt gun? Check. Randomness? Check. Now I’ll admit, this was a bit zany but every show needs to have a few promos like this to ensure that Lance Storm doesn’t become more entertaining than ACW. A nice, fun read here.
Moment of the Show: From the post Main Event write up by Jake Steele Those who know what this means begin to explode with cheers, while most others keep their mouths closed because they aren't sure whether they should be cheering or jeering, despite the infamous Armband.
Then... he decides to kill of the hype as he reaches for his mask.
Fallen Souls. I love it when the people get surprised and based on all the comments afterwards, so do they.
