When I first heard about an e-fed I thought it was stupid. I thought why would anyone want to spend their free time acting like John Cena or The Undertaker? So, I quickly disregarded it whenever I saw posts about it on the Pro-Wrestling Board back at Gamefaqs.
Then, it all changed when I saw a posting in the PWB. It was created by WWE_Gamer and was essentially a seconds game where you would post and based on the seconds in your post it would determine if you were a heel, face, or tweener. So, I posted out of fun and as the topic progressed I started acting as a character, a drunk Scott Hall. Yea, I know is there any other kind? This was essentially where Latino was born. I noticed that I had a small knack for comedy and kept at it. Soon, people were trying to get rid of the topic because it wasn't really related to pro-wrestling. I argued that it was and after a few topics getting deleted someone that I would later get to know very, very well created our very first board.
That person was Atomic Kitsune. Quickly, people started to populate the boards and GFWWE was born. Yup, I had found myself in an e-fed. AK, Gamer, and I were, I believed, looked as the three top people in the fed mainly because we each had a hand in what had become this new entity. So, weeks went by and we kept growing. This was where I started to know a lot of the people that are still in ACW today. I first met Senator here and I'd say we had the first real feud in GFWWE. I met Quimby because of this fed and the Spanish Boyz were born. I met Ridley, RDK, Jake Cheng, etc, etc. We all started here and we had become a family... a very dysfunctional family. Please feel free to post more about GFWWE in this post. One memory, I will talk about is when Ridley got kicked out. Ridley hated the system of GFWWE and wanted to have a match where he fought himself, I think just go go against Gamer. Gamer said no, Ridley said yes. Next thing you know I'm reading a match where Ridley battles Ridley. Gamer hated this and quickly kicked him out of GFWWE. It was great and I for the love of god hope this really happened or else my memory will have really played a trick on me.
After some time, we realized we needed a new board because Gamefaqs wasn't helping us anymore. Gamefaqs would automatically purge old posts so that was obviously a problem for shows. Gamer made a new board here on proboards and we all quickly migrated over. It started out well and I believe we all just were having fun. Everyone in the fed was just doing what we all knew what to do. We had our mansion and posted like crazy while at the same time had our shows. It wasn't your typical e-fed but it worked.
Now, I remember telling Gamer in a private message that he needed to give people more control. Everything in GFWWE was random and controlled by a flip of the coin. All the ranks, places in the shows, everything. So, when we had a match you literally had no control whatsoever if you won or lost. Some people may feel that way about ACW today, but I worked hard to ensure ACW wasn't like this. Gamer listened to me but decided against it. I thought ok, it's his fed so his rules.
Soon, though people were uprising. Ginger and WCW 98 I remember were the main ones. They were kicked out of the fed and decided it was time to create their own fed, GFWCW. Kain joined them. I figured that was that but I was getting IMs from Ginger and WCW. They really wanted me to join them and help make GFWCW great. I told them no at first. I felt loyal to Gamer and didn't want to destroy his trust. WCW kept at it and finally i agreed to help him, but only with the site design. So, I created the colors for the board and participated in the meetings that would later become the foundation of ACW. Soon, Gamer found out about this and was rightfully angry. He banned me from GFWWE I believe and I was left with no much left to do. As time went by people started joining GFWCW due to wanting something better. After a busted show GFWWE was dead but it would later come back in a new form.
I knew I didn't want to go back to GFWWE because it just wasn't fun anymore. I wasn't sure if i wanted to go GFWCW because I didn't know if i really wanted to run an e-fed as a moderator. That left me with time to think and what was my choice? To create my own e-fed... but that's for the next couple days.
