The HUGE Omega Effect Review.
Ghostface5: Ok, you all wanted to hear this. I'll not bother you talking about my trip there or back or anything not ACW related, so I'll just go right to the start of the show here.
MY OMEGA EFFECT REIVEW.
Ok, to begin with, we get a bunch of old '80s era guys singing, which I suppose is cool if you like that sort of thing. I don't. So then, the real start of the show was XS3 imitating BK imitating Angle or something, and more bad singing, which, while not cool, was at least amusing. Logan vs. DevilsKnight was short, but good short, and had tons of stuff happening. I see a future rivalry for the rest of the time both these two are in ACW. FSX is nuts, nothing else needs to be said.
Jade/Kiley was cool, never knew Kiley could wrestle that well. I wish I was the fan who caught the Kendo Stick, but I was seated far too high up for that. End was annoying, I hate "ooh mystery person interferes" endings.
Best part of the show comes next. Vlad vs. Doom was surreal, and surreally great. Not sure who they used as Doom there, but he had the mannerisms DOWN. The whole concept of someone's two gimmicks fighting each other, and actually being able to pull it off convincingly is beyond cool. Plus, the commie is back, which should lead to some fun stuff.
Red has come pretty far from before, from being Mr. Jobber, to Mr. Entertainment. Beating the Chef really shows how far he did come, and I sorta like his submissions. Best part was that Red won decisively, and then ran away like a little kid. Afternoon Drinkin is gold, pure gold, and I can't wait to see what happens with him. Torak's segment sure got a big pop from the crowd...and then RDK's got an even bigger one.
Triple threat for LW title was next, and had even more live music, I wondered if I was at a concert or a wrestling event. This one started fast, to say the least. Everybody brought their A-game here. Daz was there...weird. Santiago did dominate in the mindgames, but Jake hit that Mandate of Heaven for the stiffest move in the mat. Thought that the move would crush Scott's head. Then you had the screwjob finish, which I hated. Oh well, I suppose all these guys could have won the match at some point before then.
Now for some old school brawling. Chance and Jack just about murdered each other in the ring. Umeko is a *****. Connor is old, but still strong, in a flabby, pudgey sort of way. Chance is brutal, and his high kick (yes, THAT high kick) would have knocked out an elephant...but not the old man. That had to have been Jack's last match, no chance (no pun intended) an old man like him could recover enough from that to come back. Some weird guy jumped into the ring after the match, and caused some trouble, and got booted.
That big tag match was LOOONG. The NOAH guys were cool, I'd like to see more of them. Great to see Amo and Jack Fury back. Torak's splash was horrible, and you could FEEL it from anywhere in the packed arena. FSX earned a win with a headdrop swinging rock bottom move that looked vicious and then some.
Ok. The match I was waiting for was Yoko/Sarin, and it didn't disappoint. It was shorter than I expected, but it was nice to not see the two kill each other, I wouldn't want to see that. Things were cool between the two, and I'd not have wanted to have seen anything else than a nice clean match. More on this story later...
Speaking of two people killing each other, Wyvern brought his reputation back, and put it up against Rattlesnake, who's now building one, and they about did kill each other. Wyvern must have had some of his Jakalope gimmick rub off, as he was rabid crazy here. Wyvern biting Snake was an iconic moment, and the blood he lost just went everywhere before the ringside guys cleaned it up, which delayed things a bit. Next, we have a HOT moment between Flower Power, which I liked quite a bit. Yeah, we're probably going to get Soccer Mom complaints over it, but it's nothing Rena's not done before...
Remember when I said that the big tag was long...well, Hunter/Dan was longer. More carnage and brutality than you'd see in a years worth of WWE programming. Also, the ANNOUNCERS "chokeslammed" Hunter in what was perhaps the weirdest spot in ACW history. Ending to this involved more killing in ACW, which I enjoyed.
I'm tired, and I'll finish this later...
Ok, next, Senator finally retired for the first time after a match with Kudo. Of course, this match was an insane techinical spotfest, if you could even say that. Kudo's kicks and Senator's chops both echoed and were really loud. End spot was great, seeing Kudo fly across the ring. I liked KUDA better, though. Senator's retiring, but I bet he'll be back in a month or so, a guy like him just can't quit. My ears hurt after the match when the crowd cheered. And yeah, like the last match, this was loooong.(kinda a theme here late in the show)
From here, we go to KERMIT THE FROG(no El Froggy?), and Notorious BIG and Village People. Strange, but I laughed. BK and RDK. Predator<Kermit, btw. This match was typical BK/RDK stuff, which means it was better than about everything else. After this match(long again), my ears hurt again from the RDK cheers. RDK was one of the originals, and along with Senator leaving, ACW is a lesser place.
Finally. The main event was akward in the beginning, AK and Latino didn't want to destroy each other, but still to push each other to their limits. Kinda like Yoko/Sarin, in that regard, except they knew each other better, and knew the other one was not going to demolish them. The punches were hard, and that was sort of difficult to watch. The last frog splash got tons of air, and there was one, last huge, ear splitting pop when Latino won. Stuff happened afterwards, but I was too worn down to really even remember it, to tell the truth.
The End.

Big FALLOUT Main Event
FalloutRules: This just in from thebestdamnwrestlingnewssiteperiod:
News has it that when Fallout returns in two weeks from now, it will host a special sized show. Confirmed matches are sketchy so far, but include several special matches and debuts. The Skurai vs. Freight Train McMichaelson match will be on the following Fallout show. Some debuts have been pushed back to the following show
Saturday Night Fallout Return Tenative Card
*Dangerous Nicholas Alger vs. Franchi$e: Fallout TV Title This will be highly competitive, and will add presitge to...never mind that.
*Vince Hall vs. Evan Dixon New guy facing one of the guys who was a jobber in SSW...
*Allen Walker vs. Rich Richardson See above.
*Anthony Kalb/Will Anger vs. Senor Peligro/El Rey de la Mascara Could this be a Senatorial Stable reunion of sorts? News has it that the Spanish Soldiers are set for a big push for the tag titles.
*Turin Tornado vs. Jim Rourke Big singles match for Fallout here, with Fallout's biggest "ACW Loan" talent taking on an actual ACW wrestler.
*Main event: Eight Man Tag Skurai/Wolf/El Froggy Mask/Gary vs. Daniel Ness/Demolisher Hugh Daniels/Sylvain "Pay Day" Mint/?? Huge match with tons of variables, ?? is rumored to be Glamour Boy if a certain deal can't go through in time for Fallout
Wow! This looks like a stacked card to say the least! I can't wait, especially to see JIM ROURKE face the TURIN TORNADO. Main event looks huge! I can't wait for that, either!!
RontheMan619: *Checks topic, sees Falldown boy making a fool of himself and walks away*
Chef_Hat: Fallout looks cool, but I never catch when it's on.
PredHeadCommander: Very nice looking card there, from the post-Predator era. Main event, as others have said, is stacked, but Gary should lose. I do wonder who "??" is.
TheConstituent: Interestingly enough, I've heard a number of names tossed around, including Amo the Great(could be cool, but I don't see him as a CC member), Shinsuke Nakamura(how awesome would that be?), Cremator(ok, but not exciting), Tracy Finn(to counter Gary's jobberness, I suppose), Da Outsider(He's not his old self anymore, injuries caught up more than they did with Mint, and I hope it's not him), and Freight Train(As a lead in to the Skurai storyline and a heel turn, which seems to me to be a short termed booking scheme, and rather implausable, Fallout's booking crew is solid, and wouldn't stoop to this.)
FalloutRules: Well, I think it will be KEVIN FITSHARRIS, about time they do something with him other than the stupid MASKED MERCURY gimmick. Oh, and I heard a new rumor, that GINGERDUDE is wanting to buy back total control of FALLOUT from JULIUS P. HIGHTOWER, stating that he's had too many problems with BIFF's management, and has been disappointed by the ratings since selling majortity control!
Also, I heard that FALLOUT is thinking of sueing WWE for stealing their trademarked catchphrase for their lame ECW show! That's, as RJ FISHER would say, Simply Horrid!
Jakelope: SCREEECH!!!! Nice news, no source, no italics, SCREEEECH!!!!!

Senator to go on Japan Tour
TheConstituent: After healing up from Omega Effect, the Senator is touring in Japan to close out his regular in ring career, with a number of interesting matches set up, largely in New Japan(Lock Up is a NJPW special production). The two big singles matches pit two of the most decorated veterans in Japan vs. the former ACW wrestler in what promise to be strongly contested matches.

[glow=red,2,300]***Kayfabe Corner Exclusive***[/glow] Fallout AftermathFalloutRules: After the July 19th edition of FALLOUT,as you all know, there was a brawl about to take place when the feed cut off. Straight from WRESTLINGMATCHHOSTINGDOWNLOADS, here's the actual taped footage of the brawl, without any commentary, as it's raw footage. www.wrestlingmatchhostingdownloads.com/satnightfallout/july19-06/postshowfootage The battle lines are drawn, with the Corporate Club team of a rib clutching Daniel Ness, Sgt. Pilko, Sylvain “Pay Day” Mint, Glamour Boy Jeffery Janson, Demolisher Hugh Daniels, and a woozy Colossus Rhodes on one side of the ring, and Skurai, Freight Train, D-Man, Wolf, Froggy, Beau, and Gary on the other. Both groups look tentative to make a move…before Biff yells to his team to attack…and the two sides collide!
Rhodes downs the D-Man with a big boot, and Pilko nearly lariats the head off of Gary. Glamour Boy, though runs into a McMichaelson Express(Axe Bomber) from the Freight Train, and Mint is sent into the corner by a furious series of straight fist punches by Beau James. El Froggy manages to take Daniel Ness off his feet with a dropkick, but Hugh Daniels takes him by suprise, and wipes him out with a Demolisher Spike. Wolf and Skurai fight back to back, with the Openweight champion trading punches with Pilko, and Wolf trying to overpower Rhodes, albeit, unsuccessfully.
Beau manages to punch Mint out on his side of the ring, but is unable to avoid being placed in the NESS-asary diving front guillotine choke by the Corporate Club Ace, tapping out, futilely. Soon, the sides are down to Ness, Pilko, Rhodes, and Daniels, versus Skurai, Wolf, and Freight Train. Things are looking bad for Skurai's side when...
Sunrise plays over the PA system, and Stan H. Johnston barrels through the crowd with a bullrope in hand, actively knocking fans out of the way to get to the ring. Biff yells at ringside in vain for security to stop things as the Master of the Lariat hurdles his mass over the guardrail, and rolls into the ring, standing side by side with the now evenly matched Fallout main army. Biff walks up the steel steps, getting ready to enter the ring, but decides instead that discression is the better part of valor, and more importantly, saves one from eating a lariat, and motions to his men, waving them off. Johnston swings his bullrope at the retreating group, but is not able to catch them, as Freight Train attends to the fallen Daunte Thomas, Skurai picks Gary up off the mat, and Wolf joins Froggy and Beau outside the ring.
CUT POINT[/size]

Fallout News
FalloutRules: Got a few assorted news pieces here for everyone's favorite show.
First, from alphacw.superihost.com: Fallout will impliment a ranking system in the near future for the Openweight title, based on the performance of the roster on upcoming shows. Also, Fallout will be starting an advertizing blitz to hype their recent aquisitions, and the new Womens' Division. A short ad was submitted to appear on the August 3 Meltdown, with longer, more planned out ones being prepared for later dates.
Pretty cool, I think it adds a bit of specialness to the title if it's done right. Also, from thebestdamnwrestlingnewssiteperiod: Word has it that the Forces of Greatness obtained more money than anyone else in the history of Fallout for their contracts. Management are banking on them to be the main draws for shows in upcoming months, and their title reign will be sure to last. On that note, reports from sources close to Fallout managment are stating that the active contracted Fallout roster will be drastically cut in the near future, with a large amount of the undercard being used on spot contracts. This is both viewed as a cost saving action to offset recent expendatures(read: Forces of Greatness), and to focus on a smaller, more cohesive roster. Finally, the Santana family will return to action on Fallout soon, after a failed presidential bid from Felix Santana Senior in the Dominican Republic.
I like hearing Fallout is going back to its roots, but I don't want any more of the classics to get cut!
TheConstituent: I think it's a good idea, the roster has just grown too large, keep the money earners(Kalb, Wolf, Froggy, Ness, etc), and drop the dead weight. Besides, it'll make it more interesting when they do sporatically return.
Ghostface5: You all just know the Forces of Greatness are trying to be Flower Power...but they can't do it.
RontheMan619: I would post here, but you're all too lame, and this topic is the same old Falldown crap as usual.
IamUntouchable: Maybe I'm confused by your incredible logic, but didn't just say that you'd not post here, but you did so anyway? What an idiot.
RontheMan619: Who're you calling an idiot, you stupid Brit!
IamUntouchable: Go jump off a bridge, preferably a high one, over cement, you wanker. Nobody likes you.
RontheMan619: That's cause they can't HANDLE THE TRUTH!
AtomicBess: Oh my, it looks like someone didn't take their meds...really, though, both of you, cool it, there's no reason for a flame war here.
Jakealope: SCREEECH! Sure there is:)

Ok, it had to be asked, what's your favorite wrestling program?
AtomicBess: Just thought I'd throw the question out there, and see what the responses I'd get were:) Personally, the main ACW shows are my favorites, they're long enough to get in everything that a wrestling program needs to be great, and I love the personalities.
RontheMan619: WWE Raw, anyone who says otherwise is drinking mexican water.
AffirmativeLatino: I resent that coment!!!
FalloutRules: FALLOUT.
TehHaRdCoRe1: yeha, i lik xpw
IamUntouchable: You liked XPW?!? Wow...
Richard_Parker11: Mrrrowww (I like my ACW stuff, too)
Ghostface5: Meltdown>Warfare...
Jakealope: SCREEECH! TNA iMPACT's cool for me:)
PredHeadCommander: Fallout's my favorite, but it's not as good without Predator.
TheConstituent: Not again. Another ranking/favorites topic, and yet another topic where people do nothing but post their favorite thing without the one thing that makes message board discussions interesting...actual give and take discussion! Really, now, can we please post not only our favorites, but WHY they're our favorites? Anyway, right now, at least with what's avaliable in the US, I'd say it's a tie between TNA and Fallout. I've always enjoyed the more bare bones shows that provide more action as opposed to more blathering. Both of them also seem to have more motivated rosters, as they each are looking to prove themselves worthy of a larger audience. Raw is just unwatchable, Smackdown suffers from an inferior timeslot, ACW is great, and will probably put on the best match of the week, but it's not as snappy fast with the pacing as Fallout/TNA are. ECW could be fun in a few months, but for now, is just a wasted promise.
RontheMan619: HOLY **** WALL OF TEXT!!! You hypocrite, you talk about "blathering," but that's exactly what you do in your post, elitist.
Chef_Hat: (Chef Hat likes Sabu, so Chef Hat likes ECW, but not as much as ACW's shows)
TheConstituent: Ron, don't get me started on you and your juvenile posting habits around here.
RontheMan619: Ooooh, internet tough guy, what you going to do, punch me out through your screen? Looks like I won this round already.

News on the Fallout Roster Cut!!
FalloutRules: I can't believe this, but Fallout is actually going through with their roster cuts, and cut some big names.
Here's the list, from thebestdamnwrestlingnewssiteperiod, with some commentary on several of the cuts:
Dangerous Nicholas Alger El Rey De La Mascara Eddie the Wire Tony the Rod Brian Carnage "The Marxist" Joseph Harpo 004 Senor Peligro Maxmillion De La Cruz
Reportedly, Alger was the first to be cut, as he threw a fit in Chairman Taylor's office, knocking over the desk, and kicking various Harley memorbilia. Even stranger, though, is the fact that he left on good terms, despite his scene. The Goodfellas asked for their cut from the regular roster, but will still be highly utilized. They actually make more money on the independants, and plan to hold at least three tag titles at once. Carnage was frustrated with his lack of a push, and requested his cut as well. 004 and Joseph Harpo will not leave immediatly, but have a planned program, perhaps finalizing the end of the Neo Revolution. Finally, the Spanish Soldiers wanted more money than management was willing to pay them, and look to feud with the Santanas in Puetro Rico for a time.
