Now, I've been in ACW for more than 6 months now. I've read old shows, new shows, hell I've probably searched through so much old shit around here that I could pass a ACW test if given one. But recently, somewhere around September when school started... I hadn't been around for it before, but everyone said that the month would see members go and people not have a bunch of time for ACW with school restarting. That I can understand very much cause school was a bit hectic for me when it started back in August, but I've adjusted (as have most of you). Though some members going isn't my problem. 2 page shows aren't my problem. The lack of feedback on basically ANY SHOW is my problem.
Take for example, the feud between Me/Zero/McKaye. During Zero/McKaye on NoR, I ran in and cashed in Yoko's EOTR 2007 Contract and won the IN Title. But did I get a single congrats? No. Did anyone even show any anger towards it, or tell us if they liked it or not? No once again. Then this past Warfare, we had been planning a big return for FSX for months, we thought it would be a nice surprise... and what happens? No one says ANYTHING about it. At all. Not one welcome back, not one person showing any emotion towards a Legend returning, hell not even any complaints from when he lost the match.
And I know, usually most of this is done in the ACW Chat. But hardly anyone even goes there anymore. And here is what pisses me off. If you looked at the members list yesterday, you would see we had about 10 members on, but only about 4 even came to the chat. It really can kill someones momentum if they put all of this hard work into segments, storylines and ideas... but no one doesn't even seem to care.
Now, this week Meltdown has passed... and I'm the only one who has even commented the show. I won't say who, but one member of ACW has said to me that this place is dying. From the amount of segments that are actually sent in, and the matches that still get done... I disagree with that. But I do agree that feedback of any kind is dead and gone here in ACW. TK, Durden, they all had wonderful segment feedback when they had time for ACW. I'm not just asking for that, I mean damn, even a few "Great show" or "OMG I CANT BELIEVE THIS HAPPENED" or even "CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP" wouldn't hurt... Okay, maybe not that last one. <_< But you get the idea.
I've also read McKaye's past topic towards this subject and I can also agree with that at this point in time. You have Wayde Russeller as the Entertainment Champ and because he lacks a challenger, he is now joining the Tag Team Division. Which almost died itself, but soon it will see a spark that will make sure it stays alive. Though back to my point, the International Division looks good, the World Title scene looks good but at the same time... it's pointless to me. You have all of these men who are Main Event but they can't even face the World Champ unless he decides to have a huge mega-man feud. Me personally, I have nothing against those who are ME, but I feel that the rankings should be expendable. ME should be able to challenge for the IN Title at times and same for Upper-Mid challenging for the Entertainment Title if needed. You cannot, I repeat, CANNOT have a proper division with just a few people (especially if those few people are already in feuds).
Things like this need to be worked on, and I'm sure with proper time dedicated, we could fix it.

CLAP.......CLAP....CLAP CLAP CLAP Now I know what you all are thinking, Jake Steele and Wayde Russeller are about to have another board argument. However as you can see from my segments I like to shock people and shake things up and I will do that once again by doing something I normally don't do ON THE BOARDS...Agree with Jake Steele. Like he said, I do not think that ACW is dying but a lot of emotion has been taken from the shows and ACW as a whole. Can it survive with out the emotion? Sure. But it does help in so many ways for people to feel good about what they are doing. As for the rankings and titles I once again agree. Don't get me wrong, I am having fun with Sly Fox and do not mind joining the tag division at all, however I would be telling a lie if I said that was my first choice. The truth is I have no one to defend the ET title against. Yes, I have something coming up in November and possibly December, but its hard for this belt to gain respect without any challengers. My feud with Red was about that, bringing respect back to the ET title, and I think Mr. Red was the best challenger for that because he did a great job in showing the importance of the title but with no one to face now, the title loses some momentum. I am not asking to lose my title, however those who know me, know I would rather lose the title to someone better than me, than hold on to the title based on the fact that there is no one to face. I agree fully and completely with Mr. Steele's idea to expand the ranking, let some higher guys fight for the title. Let the World title be defensible against mid or upper cards. Basically, use the famous words of the senile old chairman of WWE and "Let's Shake things up around here!" I don't want to sound like I am bashing ACW. I know a lot of people have a problem with the way I act and the things I say sometimes, but those who know me, know that I love ACW and everyone here. I have the highest respect for everyone here and the atmosphere which it creates. When I am at my lowest in life, I always know I can log onto www.alphacw.proboards34.com for comfort and friends. I do not want to see that disappear. I want new and old people to find in ACW what I have found. A home. Friends. Family.

I agree that more feedback is needed, as a newish person to the fed it would be very helpful to have feedback on what to improve on with my segments as I'm still new to the format. That said, I don't get the feeling many people read full shows either. Building on not many people going into chat at the show times, my main reason for that would be that due to the new meltdown time the show is around 11pm/12am for UK people, and on a school/college night not many people are going to stay on the computer just for that.

I agree with all these points, and a long post would just be saying what has been said. Of note, Meltdown goes uo about half ten+ in teh UK (IIRC), so many of us only get to reply to it the next day. Although I try and pop in, sometimes it takes a while to get on after a show, but no more then 24 hours.

It's just what's happened. It's been stressed before but every Autumn we have a very slow period. Especially now with a lot of our more vocal veterans (me, BK, Hunter) having either retired from shows or currently at college. I mean admittedly I've not even had the time to read a show since I came back to uni.
But it's also e-fedding at a slump. The e-fed board on Gamefaqs used to have about 120 posts. Now it barely has 20. I know that isn't a measure of all e-fedding, but it's the best measure I have.

Honestly I think it's just the e-fed boards on gamefaqs that's dying, and not e-fedding itself. Now they have bigger e-fed advertisement sites like Roughkut. And I've been e-fedding since early last year, the gamefaqs boards had about the same activity then as it does now.

Well that's where we've always had our main advertising from. But that's besides the point. For the record, despite saying I haven't had the chance to read shows, I do skim shows and I did notice your deal with Zero and found it surprising. I don't think I made a comment for that show though because I went to bed instead. >_>

Rattlesnake, I would love for you to return and fight for the ET Championship. Now that's what I call shaking things up!

Im very into feedback as well, and also know that seeing people mention your segments in the topic really makes the e-fedding experience much more enjoyable, to see what people are thinking. What REALLY annoys me, is that some people don't read shows.
I know there are a couple of people who don't, and that just makes me mad. Because we're writing these things, but if nobody reads them, then what are we doing it for? I mean, yeah it's enjoyable and all that, but if nobody is reading them then we might as well just write it on our computer and keep it to ourselves, and feedback is a great way of keeping people motivated as Steele said.
I know that personally I may sound hypocritical, because I don't really give much feedback myself, mostly because I usually read shows around a week late (though Ive never not read a show since joining this fed, even if it was two months later). By the time I get to the show, it's too late to comment, but, still, I think everybody (including me) should again make an effort. After McKaye made that topic a while ago we had a resurgance of feedback that was very good, but it's all simmered down again. I think somebody should again establish themselves as a sorta official almost segment reviewer, like TK did...and we should really try as best we can to mention a lot of stuff in the show topics.

I have been thinking about this since Steele made this post and while it would be up to the mods to make a decision about "shaking up" the titles and rankings, I may have thought of something to help with the feedback portion. Being that I work over nights I rarely get to watch a live WWE program. However, when I get home the next morning I go and read the summary of the show, then find the parts that intrigue me on youtube and watch. That go me thinking about how some people dont have time to read whole shows and I came up with a plan. Starting on the next Warfare I will start to summarize shows, much like you would find for WWE or TNA programs. I will summerize the matches, EVERY segment, and big happenings. Hopefully this will allow people without much time to keep up and if there is something they like, they can pull up the actual show for reading pleasures.

No. Just No. We don't write segments for them to be summarized. If I write something I want the people who read the show to read the whole thing. Same goes for full length matches. It'll just cause people to get lazier with their shit. No.

I could write an entire essay about it, but our main problem lies in our small roster.
Our small roster consists of about 18 wrestlers.
Within that. We have two stables. One that has 4 members - one that has 3. Thats quite a bit of combination of matches that CANNOT happen due to stable alliances. So, if you think of the stable as one member of the roster - we have about 11 people.
The Booking Committee is having problems to, due to we're running out of match combination and soon enough you'll be seeing re-runs. It's always like this in the fall, but you've got to learn to cope with it.
