Main Event Match: ACW World Heavyweight Title: Jason Freeman(c) vs. Scorpion (Credit: Freeman, Senator)
Maxwell McNally: This match has been building ever since Jason Freeman and the Ascendancy captured all the belts in ACW. He challenged the most imposing threat in the company, a fearsome Scorpion who has been terrorizing his opponents over the last year. As we see here in the ring, there is a massive size difference between the challenger and the champion, in favor of the former.
"Fast" Eddie Edison: Scorpion is a bad, bad man! He did terrible things to former champion Chris Phenomenal, and has defeated a list of people who would make up a who's who list for ACW! Take it from me, Jason Freeman has a tough match ahead of him! Scorpion's skillset is ridiculous for a man of his size, and he has that "X factor," that nearly insane quality that makes him impossible to predict, you can't even keep him down if you beat him down as badly as Ascendancy did!
McNally: As distasteful as his actions often are, we can't count out the champion, though. Freeman is as tenacious as anyone who has ever walked through the doors of this organization. He has learned from the best, and has arguably become one of the best in the history of ACW. Freeman is an expert at negating an opponent's strengths, and putting them in uncomfortable situations. This will by no means be a cake walk for Freeman, but I argue that the champion can make this very tough on Scorpion as well.
Edison: Enough chatter, it's time to go!
Head referee Raymond Allen Fleming stands between the two opponents, holds the belt in the air, and without further hesitation, calls for the match to begin.
***Bell rings***
Scorpion starts the match out by rushing straight at Freeman, who rolls under the top rope. Although he attempts to hop down to the floor, the champion finds himself in a bad place, as Scorpion lifts him back up with a half nelson, before locking in a full...and then bridges back with a release dragon suplex back into the ring!
Edison: DAAAAAAAANNNNGROUSSSSSSS! Sorry Maxie, but that was ridiculous!
The Apocalyptic Warrior does not follow through with his ferocious match-starting suplex, but instead stalks his foe with an unearthly glare. Freeman, slowly pulling himself up to his feet barely has time to react before taking a spin backfist to the base of his neck. The Ascendancy founder does not go down, amazingly, and is able to sidestep out of a head kick attempt that follows the backfist. Scorpion spins around, only to be knocked back into the ropes with a front dropkick to the thigh.
McNally: A smart move by Freeman to go for the legs, and get Scorpion off of him, however briefly.
Indeed, it is quite brief, as Scorpion rebounds off the ropes, flattening Freeman with a running boot to the chest as he gets up from the dropkick. He does not go for a pin, and again simply stands over Freeman, letting him stand back up. The two opponents stand eye to eye for a moment, before Freeman slaps Scorpion flush in the face.
Edison: Oh man...not smart, not smart...
Freeman, displaying a certain sign of courage and insanity, slaps Scorpion again with the other hand, again resulting in no response from his foe. A third slap almost lands, but Freeman fakes it into a beautifully thrown Thai kick to the leg, ducking an elbow, and hits another kick, this time to the back of the knee, nearly buckling it. Jason Freeman, seeing an opening, rushes ahead, slamming into Scorpion's leg with a front chop block, but while he does stumble the challenger, he unfortunately does not take him fully off his feet. As such, Scorpion is in prime position to stomp straight down onto the back of Freeman's neck, and presses down hard.
Edison: That's just brutal, and a great reason why you don't slap a guy like that in the face!
Scorpion presses down with his full body weight onto the neck, but gives up his leverage quickly, allowing his opponent to roll out. Freeman rolls onto his back, and kicks an approaching Scorpion in the shin with a straight kick, before landing a low angle axe kick to the quadriceps. Freeman rolls back up to his feet, and charges in again, ducking into a single leg lift, taking his opponent all the way into the corner, where he throws a leg over the middle rope, hitting a series of front kicks to the knee. Before Scorpion can react, Freeman slides out of the ring, taking the now-unhooked feet, and pulls them hard to the outside. The champion, firmly in control, wraps a knee around the corner post, once, twice, and a third time, before throwing one of his own feet around the post, and falling back into a draping, scissored heel hook.
McNally: A heck of an offence mounted here, Freeman is doing what people said he could not; dictate the pace of the match and inflict damage on the nearly invincible Scorpion.

Freeman lets go of the heel hook, dropping to the floor, and again pulls Scorpion back against the post, before stepping back, and unleashing a running kick that smashes the knee against the hard steel. Scorpion, with a slight grunt rolls to the side, and lands on the other side of the corner. Freeman follows him quickly, not wanting to let the Supernatural Sensation engage his powers of recuperation. Even with such a brief break, though, Freeman is caught off guard, as Scorpion lunges forward, catching him in a belly to belly suplex, throwing him into a rapidly backpedaling Lou the Cameraman!
Edison: In ACW, it's even dangerous to be a cameraman! And even more so to be Lou!
Freeman disengages from the collapsing cameraman, just in time to eat a big Kenka Kick to the jaw. Scorpion, somehow healed from the relentlessly focused attacks on his leg, stands over Freeman, letting him pull himself onto the guard barrier, before grasping the back of his neck, pressing him against the barrier, and slamming a big knee into the base of his spine. Freeman yells out in pain, only for Scorpion to lock in a double chickenwing. Instead of bridging back with a Tiger Suplex, Scorpion lifts his opponent off his feet, and dashes right towards the corner post, slamming Freeman's face and sternum with a resounding clang!
Edison: Oh man, oh man, oh man, he just took his face off with that, that, move!
Scorpion remorselessly drops his foe to the mat, taking a step back, and as Freeman rolls over, he dives down with a grazing elbow to the skull that only brushes the head, but manages to open up a developing cut on the forehead all the same.
McNally: You might notice that there is no countout here, this is technically not being fought under no disqualification rules, but we are not going to let a pay per view event end with nothing short of a solid win for one man or the other. I also have to draw attention to the offense of Scorpion, he is doing his best to cut Jason Freeman open, all the better to ensure this match remains in his favor.
Scorpion simply stares down unsettlingly at Freeman, never lifting him up, and not even reacting at the quickly developing crimson gusher that spurts from the champion's forehead. For his part, Jason Freeman stumbles back, seemingly in a state of panic as his own blood clouds his vision. Freeman flails for the apron, hooking his fingers inside it, and getting his feet under himself. Scorpion still advances with a Voorhees style slow approach. Freeman, seeing the incoming threat, jumps up onto the apron, leaping off with a dropkick that only slows Scorpion down. Freeman again jumps up, wiping the blood out of his face, and runs ahead, hitting a flying complete shot onto the unshielded concrete. To his own surprise, the champion stands up, only to see Scorpion rising up right in front of him, the move having barely any effect.
Edison: Um, if I got hit with that, I'd be out, for a long time, just sayin', you know..
Freeman, at wits end, takes a big elbow to the head that knocks him forcefully back into the corner section of the barriers. Blinded by the cut on his forehead, Freeman figures that a tactical retreat is better than being fully annihilated on the outside, and runs in the general direction of the ring, somehow making it in. Hearing the voice of Raymond Allen Fleming as he enters, Freeman runs over to the referee, and much to the Falklands war veteran, and uses his shirt to wipe the blood out of his face.
McNally: A very smart move there, even though I doubt Fleming much appreciated having his shirt used in that purpose.
With his vision restored, however temporarily, Freeman seems to calm down a bit, even as Scorpion pulls himself up to the ring. As such, he is able to avoid the incoming flurry of kicks, sidestepping before Scorpion can pin him back into the corner, and even manages to catch the final kick attempt, using all of his strength to lift the leg into the air, and drop it right back down, shin first, onto an outstretched leg. Scorpion only seems mildly annoyed by the attack, pulling his leg out from Freeman's grip, stepping back, and dropping his foe with a spinning back heel kick to the side of the head! Scorpion drops down, and goes for the pin...

...
...Freeman kicks out, only for Scorpion to transition into a side mount position, throwing punches into the forehead, measuring each one out as it drives into the bloody wound. Before standing up, Scorpion rubs a forearm on the cut, negating all of Freeman's prior attempts to marginalize it.
McNally: That is the sign of a driven, brutal man who has no empathy for his opponent, and one goal in mind: to inflict pain.
Freeman, wary now of Scorpion's tactic to watch over as he stands up, rolls back to the corner, slowly standing without taking an eye off the Apocalyptic Warrior. The two tentatively circle back to the center of the ring, and neither look the same as they did at the start of the contest. Freeman's massive gash draws immediate attention, and his crimson mask is a memorable one by now. For his part, Scorpion's fists and arms are stained by his opponent's plasma, and while he remains as detached and calm as ever, there is the ever so slightly favoring of his left leg as he circles about.

The two both circle into a mutual tieup, Freeman shucking an arm over his head as he goes to a rear waistlock, but Scorpion is fast enough to catch him in a side headlock on the way around. The challenger throws his opponent to the mat, keeping the headlock hooked in, until Freeman kicks his legs up, into a headscissors, which he lets go to stand back up. Scorpion takes his opponent off his feet with a sweeping arm, rolling back into a pin...

...Scorpion kicks out! And as he does, he instantly tires of the back and forth matwork, and instead blasts Freeman with a big knee to the head to put an abrupt stop to the technical exchange. Scorpion, having knocked his foe silly, backs into the corner, simply waiting as before...waiting for him to stand. Freeman rolls over onto his stomach, the champion feeling the effects of the knee that had just cracked him in the skull. The world seems to spin, and in his current state he cannot do much besides attempt to clear his head and get to his feet. He cannot allow himself to lose consciousness. While he hasn’t lost yet, this match is not looking good for him thus far. The Scorpion waits in the corner, looking across the ring at the world champion. Scorpion has not lifted his opponent up. He wrestles a methodical pace, just awaiting Freeman so he can continue the punishment. Scorpion is patient, almost disturbingly so. As long as Freeman stirs, Scorpion shows no signs of wanting to rush anything. He barely moves at all. He regards his opponent and waits. Freeman makes his way to the opposite corner, attempting to create some space between him and his opponent any way he can. He needs to get to his feet before The Scorpion can reach him, or else he may find himself back down once more. Freeman goes for the turnbuckle, using it to help him up, and tries to face towards his opponent at the same time, not wanting to be caught unawares. As Scorpion comes forward, Freeman raises a leg to attempt to kick him. The Scorpion catches the leg however, pushes it back down and gets a nice kick to Freeman’s ribs.
Freeman clutches his ribs, but since he’s in the corner he has nowhere to escape to, as Scorpion throws another kick which connects just as the first one did. Suddenly, The Scorpion’s strikes get methodically faster, palm strikes being worked in, and the beautiful martial arts combination is as lethal as it is impressive. Scorpion backs up a couple steps, perhaps in an attempt to run in towards the corner to finish off his combination, but Freeman takes his chance to charge towards Scorpion. Scorpion sees it coming, and sidesteps just in time. Freeman perhaps was about to go for his impactful double front dropkick, but never gets the chance. He attempts to stop, but it is no use, as before he gets the chance Scorpion drills him in the chest with a hard kick, which combined with Freeman’s forward momentum causes Freeman to go airborne, falling backwards to the mat as his body still goes forwards. Once more, the champion has hit the ground.
McNally: The pace of this match right now is controlled by The Scorpion, and although his leg is hurting him he seems to be working through it pretty well.
Edison: “Pretty” well? He’s dominating right now. Freeman can’t get a move in!
Freeman clutches his chest, and slams his fists to the mat. His inability to mount an offense seems to be causing him to lose his cool just a bit. He looks up and sees The Scorpion standing in the corner once more - Just waiting for another exchange, his eyes passive. Freeman grimaces (that last kick having an effect on him) but then forces himself to keep control. He cannot lose his cool tonight, not with his world title on the line. He attempts to get up to his feet, and once more The Scorpion comes forward. Freeman throws a punch, but Scorpion ducks behind him, grabbing him around the waist perhaps going for a german suplex! As The Scorpion starts to lift, Freeman nails an elbow to his face, and Freeman finds his feet back on the ground once more. Freeman is near enough to the ropes that he is able to grab them, preventing any further suplex attempts from occurring. Freeman then turns nailing a nice kick to The Scorpion’s head. The Scorpion draws back slightly, and Freeman attempts to irish whip him towards the turnbuckle. Scorpion reverses however, and soon Freeman finds HIMSELF going towards the turnbuckle, he puts his foot up against the padding to stop himself, and turns swiftly, hoping to dodge what he was sure was going to be a Scorpion followup. He did not account for how quick The Scorpion had followed him, however, and as soon as he turns he finds himself falling victim to a swift Yakuza kick! The kick scrapes across Freeman’s head right where his cut is, and hits with enough momentum that Freeman almost flips backwards over the turnbuckle. Freeman comes back to his feet however, turning, and The Scorpion grabs the groggy Freeman hitting him with a bridging dragon suplex! RAF gets down to count… 1 . . . 2 . . .

And Freeman kicks out hard, the momentum rolling him backwards onto his stomach, where he lays without moving. Though he is face down, from the amount of blood that is on the mat around his head, it seems that that last yakuza kick has drawn forth more blood, most likely widening the cut that he had suffered earlier in the match. And if this thing was to drag on for very long, that would come back to haunt him.
McNally: It’s like Freeman is just unable to get any big moves in here. The Scorpion seems to have his number tonight. What an impressive performance!
Edison: Well, I wouldn’t count Freeman out so early. He won the belt for a reason, remember!
McNally: I will admit that Freeman DOES have a nasty habit of pulling through when you’re sure he is out of luck, but if he doesn’t do something quick he will not be walking out of here as world champion.
Freeman still hasn’t moved after kicking out of the dragon suplex, and it’s hard to tell what took more out of him, the suplex or the yakuza kick that opened him up for it. Most likely it’s a combination of both, and taking those moves in quick succession and still kicking out had to be no easy task. As The Scorpion once more takes to his feet, he contemplates his opponent below. Perhaps he is thinking about whether or not to wait for Freeman to rise as he has prior, or to follow up instantly. In any case, Scorpion seems to want to cause some more pain tonight – revenge for what started this whole thing in the first place. The beatdown that Ascendancy had delivered to The Scorpion’s doorstep. As Freeman finally stirs and gets to his feet, The Scorpion stands patiently and to a great ovation from the crowd hits a nice side kick that seems to connect with Freeman’s arm. Freeman clutches his arm and moves forward slightly, and another kick hits him from the other side. Freeman seems to out of it to even dodge or fight back. The Scorpion seems to be relishing this moment. A third kick connects, a fourth – The Scorpion methodically continuing the punishment tonight.
McNally: Jason Freeman brought this night upon himself. He and Ascendancy thought that they could keep The Scorpion down, and they were proved wrong. He picked his challenger, and now he’s gotten it.
Edison: I don’t think he was expecting this though!
Suddenly The Scorpion throws his leg for a kick, this one aiming for the head. Freeman sees it coming in time, and has finally recovered enough to duck under this one, causing The Scorpion to spin from his momentum. Freeman then jumps up, hitting a dropkick to the back of The Scorpion’s head, a very impressive jump especially for the punishment he’s taken in this match! The Scorpion stumbles forward into the turnbuckle, Jason Freeman backing up, before running forward, very similar to what The Scorpion had done to him just minutes prior. Freeman jumps and hits his double knee to the chest, and as he goes to finish by pushing on the top rope to raise his legs into a handstand before using the momentum like a pendulum to hit his double frontkick, he feels his hands grabbed out from under him! Freeman falls over himself, but he is caught..by The Scorpion…DIRECTLY IN POSITION FOR THE ELIMINATOR! The crowd goes wild, but Freeman squirms his way out of it landing behind The Scorpion, grabbing him in a full nelson, and managing to hit his spinning full nelson faceplant!
Freeman quickly rolls the Scorpion over and covers, hoping to put this one away now. It has gone on too far. 1 . . . 2 . . . And The Scorpion kicks out, as Freeman looks slightly frustrated at this turn of events. The Scorpion rolls over onto the apron, and Freeman slowly gets up, kicking The Scorpion to the floor outside, following him to take the fight to the floor again.
McNally: Freeman may finally be back into this thing! But one has to wonder how this match would be different had Freeman had some members to accompany him to the ring tonight.
Edison: Yeah, The Scorpion was smart to make sure Ascendancy is a non factor tonight.
McNally: For the past few months, Freeman has been a man who dominates with a group at his side. Without them he now is forced to stand alone…and that may make all the difference.
Freeman steps to the floor outside…and he goes to stomp down on The Scorpion…but before he can The Scorpion pops to his knees and shoves Freeman backwards, the small of Freeman’s back hitting the edge of the steel steps! Freeman is wide-eyed, and not just from the pain. After taking one of Freeman’s signature moves, The Scorpion has made an astoundingly quick recovery! And then The Scorpion is running forward…but Freeman is ready. He drops down and hits a swift front dropkick to The Scorpion’s leg – the very leg that Freeman had worked over this match! The Scorpion quickly falls forward, his forehead hitting the edge of the step! The Scorpion rolls to the ground, as Freeman looks to his side to verify that this time he has finally knocked The Scorpion down. Freeman nods to himself, satisfied, before grabbing The Scorpion and attempting to roll him back into the ring. He accomplishes this feat, and then rolls in for the cover. 1 . . . 2 . . .

...And the Scorpion is able to kick out once more!
McNally: It seems that that shot to the steps has busted The Scorpion open…but it’s going to be hard to get him to look as bad as Freeman does right now.
Freeman does indeed look pretty bad at the moment. His cut has worsened to the point where he is almost wearing the proverbial ‘crimson mask.’ It is clear that he has been losing significant amounts of blood so far this match, and perhaps it is that that leads to what seems to be an increasing desperation to finish this. Freeman backs off, reminiscent of the Scorpion earlier this match, as he watches his opponent…almost stalking him. As The Scorpion begins to slowly rise, Freeman waits…waits…and then runs forward looking for The Shining Axe Kick! Scorpion moves just at the last second however, a movement much quicker than Freeman would have believed possible for somebody who just went headfirst into steel. The Scorpion doesn’t make this movement without a toll however. He is instantly thrown off balance, and he grabs the ropes to steady himself. Freeman turns, seeing this as his chance, and runs forward looking for a bicycle kick. Scorpion dodges this as well, and this time Freeman is thrown off balance as he misses. Scorpion grabs him and hits the Lament of Innocence and it connects! The Scorpion rolls over and covers his opponent. 1 . . . 2 . . . And Freeman gets his shoulder up before the count of three.
McNally: What a match we’re seeing tonight! I just hope it ends before somebody gets seriously hurt here…both men are bleeding.
Edison: I know, it’s great!
The Scorpion is much slower to get to his feet this time, and Freeman rolls onto the apron, using the ropes to help him to his feet. The crowd begins to chant for The Scorpion, and he begins to respond, getting to a standing position, and coming towards the apron where Freeman crouches. Freeman thrusts his shoulder into the ring as quickly as possible, nailing The Scorpion right in the gut! The Scorpion bends down, his chest over the second rope, and Freeman backs up, kicking The Scorpion right in the head! The Scorpion goes backwards…and Freeman looks to enter the ring…until he realizes that The Scorpion straightens up as if that kick never connected! Freeman can’t believe it and suddenly Scorpion hits a spinning backfist right to Freeman’s head!
Freeman is grabbing the ropes, and it is only this that keeps him from falling off of the apron to the outside of the ring! The Scorpion then grabs Freeman as if going for a suplex…and attempts to lift him off the apron. The fans realize he is going for the Eternus Moestitia! He waits a bit too long, however, as Freeman too is able to fight through the pain and hit a hard knee to The Scorpion’s head, although Freeman is almost vertical. He gets it in just in time, and finds his feet planted back on the apron. Freeman starts inching towards the turnbuckle, only for The Scorpion to hit him with an elbow to the head! Scorpion walks towards Freeman only to be elbowed in return! As Freeman makes his way towards the turnbuckles the two trade stiff strikes, and at one point, Freeman finds his head grabbed and rubbed against the top rope – anything to widen the cut that already has Freeman’s face completely covered. Soon Freeman begins to climb, and Scorpion follows.
McNally: I can’t believe it! Any one of these shots should be enough to knock the other out..but both of them right now are at the point where they barely feel pain!
Edison: I have a strong feeling that will change soon!
And Freeman gets the last shot in with a kick to the skull that drives Scorpion back towards the ring, and now Freeman is on the top turnbuckle. Before he can jump however, Scorpion rushes forward, pushing Freeman’s legs out from under him! Freeman goes backwards….landing chest first on the turnbuckle!
Freeman clutches his chest, the turnbuckle driving all air out of it. Freeman has failed to capitalize on the opening, and now finds himself in quite a vulnerable position. He is in absolutely no position to fight back against anything that could be thrown at him at the moment. As The Scorpion begin to ascend the turnbuckle, Freeman desperately attempts to will himself to power to a more comfortable position. To get his feet back on the ropes so he can stop his opponent’s climb.
It is too late however, for Scorpion stands on the second rope, and grabs Freeman by the head. Freeman finally manages to get some footing and begins to throw elbows as fast as he can towards the head of The Scorpion, but while Freeman can throw some great strikes when he needs to, The Scorpion is the martial arts expert, and he responds with elbows of his own, and soon with unbelievable speed both men are throwing rapid elbows, pummeling each other’s already very bloody faces, their elbows blood red after going against the wounds of their opponents. And suddenly Freeman’s elbows begin to slow, and one more big one from Scorpion causes Freeman to almost fall off the turnbuckle – to hang limply before Scorpion grabs him by the head and straightens up.
And then it becomes clear what Scorpion is attempting. Only in big matches does The Scorpion ever attempt this move…a top rope diamond cutter that he calls The Revelation. Freeman is clearly out of it…nothing to stop Scorpion from delivering the move. And that is when The Scorpion realizes that in just a few short seconds…he would be the world champion. He jumps.

Freeman snaps to life in desperation, this move would surely be the last if it were to connect. As soon as Scorpion jumps, Freeman twists and pushes the challenger off of him. It succeeds, and Scorpion goes forward just a bit, and lands…crotched on the top rope. Freeman takes a moment to breathe, but only a moment, knowing that it was his time to capitalize, and he moves forward off of the turnbuckle. With The Scorpion already on the top rope, Freeman grabs Scorpion’s head and pulls it down, yanking him towards the ring until Scorpion’s legs rest on the top rope. Then it's clear what Freeman is going for...he's busted it out once against Atomic Kitsune at Omega Effect...a rope assisted variation on his INVERTED FINAL CUT!!!!, but with The Scorpion’s legs perched on the top rope, Freeman’s elbow IMPLANTS The Scorpion headfirst into the mat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Edison: DANGEROUSSSSSSSSSSSSS! The Scorpion just landed STRAIGHT onto his head….
McNally: Despite what one feels about Freeman as a person, that was impressive! This one’s gotta be over.
Freeman thinks so too, and he sighs as he makes the cover… 1 . . . 2 . . . 3-KICK OUT! THE SCORPION JUST MANAGES TO GET HIS SHOULDER UP! Freeman rolls off of Scorpion in shock. He was sure that was it! It had to be! But somehow it wasn’t…It WASN’T.
Freeman wipes hair and blood out of his eyes…the time had come to finish this. Scorpion has outlasted everything that has been thrown at him, and there was no way that Freeman was going to walk out of here without his world championship. He was not going to let that happen. Screw pride, screw coming out of this clean…the only thing that mattered was that that gold did not leave Freeman’s waist. He would do anything to keep it there. Freeman rolls outside of the ring. Inside the ring, The Scorpion is using the ropes for assistance. He has shown that there is still life in him, but whatever life is left may be fading. Suddenly a wave of boos fills the arena. These boos are not directed at The Scorpion, but at Freeman…who has just pulled his lead pipe out from underneath the ring and holds it in his right hand loosely, regarding it hungrily. It is clear what path Freeman has chosen tonight. The vulture inside Jason Freeman – the shark that smells blood – comes out as he slowly slinks his way up to the apron, and enters the ring eyeing The Scorpion.
McNally: I can’t believe this…after this long contest Freeman is going to go for the PIPE?
Edison: A win is a win…And anyways, RAF probably won’t disqualify him in a match of this caliber.
McNally: Well it seems that whether he gets disqualified or not he’s going to benefit here in a way that he shouldn’t be. If he’s so confident in his abilities why resort to cheating?
Freeman enters the ring, as the crowd continues to boo, and suddenly RAF notices what Freeman is holding, and RAF is filled with fury. This main event was not going to end like this, in Freeman’s first pay-per-view title defense. There was no way Freeman was escaping with a DQ and there was no way Freeman was going to use that pipe. RAF approaches as Scorpion holds the second rope, on his knees, and begins slowly turning towards the center. RAF makes a grab for the pipe but Freeman moves past him and SWINGS the pipe down with—THE CROWD ERUPTS AS SCORPION’S HAND SHOOTS OUT AND GRABS FREEMAN BY THE THROAT! Freeman’s eyes widen as Scorpion’s hand clenches, the eyes of the challenger hardening as he begins to squeeze the life out of the World Champion.
As the crowd begins to erupt, it is as if Scorpion is drawing power from some unearthly force…whether that force is the cheers that now make the arena shake, or something deep within himself (or as Scorpion would perhaps believe – something divine.) Scorpion begins to straighten up, and though he was struggling before it is clear as he slowly begins to straighten up to his feet that his body is filled with a new energy, a second wind, and Freeman is powerless to stop it.

Scorpion looks into the eyes of the man who now is in his clutches, the sinner he has vowed to dethrone tonight, and Freeman looks up – he is finally caught. Freeman’s fingers grasp with futility, the pipe that they once held dropped to the ground once Scorpion’s hand met Freeman’s throat, and already RAF looks towards it, going to remove it from the ring lest it get involved again. There is no escape now, and both men in the ring know it – and judging by the reaction, so does the ACW crowd. Despite all the blows he has taken in this match, The Scorpion seems revitalized as he looks to the heavens for just a brief moment, before slowly fixing his eyes back on his opponent, who seems to be fading. Unlike The Scorpion, the blows Freeman has taken in this match now seem to be catching up to him. Time seems to stop for both men, and as The Scorpion continues to squeeze, he moves his arm in a cut-throat gesture. It was time to finish this.
Suddenly he pulls Freeman in and turns slightly, grabbing him for The Eliminator! The fans all jump to their feet as Scorpion lifts Freeman up to end this match and claim his prize---BUT FREEMAN SHIFTS – THE LOW BLOW CONNECTING PERFECTLY.
Edison: WHAT?!!
The collective gasp sounds out from the crowd as time seems to freeze once more, Freeman’s low blow connecting, and Scorpion dropping Freeman to the ground. The audience waits for some repercussion…but there is none. As Scorpion lifted Freeman, RAF was turned away – attempting to remove the steel pipe out of the ring. Freeman had seen this out of the corner of his eye, and it was this that gave him the chance to react. The blow stuns The Scorpion, as Freeman gasps for air. He wastes no time however in getting up halfway and jumping to nail a dropkick to the leg of The Scorpion. The Scorpion sinks down, clutching his leg on one knee…and Freeman calls forth the last energy he can in this match as he pushes to his feet bounces off the ropes, and NAILS the Shining Axe Kick! The crowd deflates in an instant, realizing that the kick had just connected perfectly, The Scorpion was unable to dodge or counter.
McNally: RAF was taking that pipe out of the ring and Freeman took advantage! Everybody in this arena knew that this match had reached its close. The Scorpion was seconds away from ending Freeman's reign.
Edison: He saw a chance and he took it!
McNally: Yeah and because of that chance The Scorpion’s chance at a world title run is n---…What….the…
Edison: But...How….

The camera zooms into Freeman’s face and proves that a picture truly is worth a thousand words. Both McNally and Edison could express their shock, but it is Freeman’s eyes that show the mix of emotions that cascade through him at this moment – Shock, disbelief, disgust, frustration, and perhaps there is just a glimmer of fear there – for after taking the Shining Axe Kick, the Scorpion was beginning to push up with his arms, and slowly but surely was attempting to get back off of the ground.
He was not knocked out. The crowd begins to go wild as they see the inhuman display before them. Everybody stands up - a new hope filling them. Freeman once more wipes blood from his eyes, the blood loss he has suffered mixed with the oxygen loss from the choking he had just been subjected to making his head spin and making it hard for him to even think straight. He could not even make the cover…The Scorpion was getting up. Jason Freeman feels some of his strength returning, the effects of the choking wearing off, and he is able to ascend to his feet. And then as The Scorpion raises his head, his eyes lock with Jason Freeman’s, and Freeman sees that the fire inside The Scorpion is still burning…no matter how hard he kicked him in the head it has not extinguished. He was still in the game.
Edison: Okay....how could he POSSIBLY get up after all he's taken in this match? That would have put anybody away!!!
McNally: We knew he was tough...but...this...
A few seconds of this tension goes by, where Freeman seems to not know HOW to react...How was it possible that after a long grueling match that had pushed Freeman to his very limits, the Scorpion still had that life in him. He hadn't stayed motionless for more than a few seconds...Freeman seems at a loss - a rarity - but just for a moment. Finally Jason Freeman snarls, bounces off of the ropes once more and returns, a SECOND SHINING AXE KICK CONNECTING! And The Scorpion slumps downward, as Freeman falls to his hands and knees, breathing heavily…not moving for a couple seconds. Not able to move. There would be no getting up from that one.
McNally: After the admirable fight put up by The Scorpion…after the endurance he showed…to be put down by a low blow…
Edison: Well Freeman hit TWO Shining Axe Kicks.
McNally: As a direct result of the low blow...and now it seems that finally this has come to a close.
Scorpion remains slumped over…his arm muscles twitching. Slowly Freeman crawls over to the ropes on the opposite side of the ring, and uses them…third rope, then second, then first – to pull himself to his feet. After the abuse and blood loss he has taken that is something that he can no longer accomplish by himself. He had fought hard, and finally it had paid off. He would walk out of this arena the world heavyweight champion just as he said he would. He had to admit...he had been nervous for just a while. When The Scorpion began to stir from his Shining Axe Kick, and he had locked eyes with him...Freeman couldn't put his finger on the feeling that had flooded through his body. But he had proved what he said he would. The Scorpion was mortal, and nothing more. And now he was three seconds away from defeat.

And then suddenly, motion catches his eyes, and a thunderous noise cascades his ears. He realizes that everybody in the crowd still in a seat has gotten out of it…all of them erupting in unison. Freeman’s brain perhaps has been slowed by his current state, so his brow furrows for just a moment…this reaction not seeming to make sense. Suddenly his eyes start to widen…he slowly turns behind him not knowing what to expect, and then he sees it. The Scorpion – the muscles in his arms shaking madly – slowly has begun to push himself off of the mat. He is still in this match.
Edison: WHAAAAT?!!?!?!? HE'S...GETTING UP!
McNally: I...How...What...?
Edison: THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE!
Upon his debut, the crowd had not been on The Scorpion’s side. Over the past month, he had won over the majority of the ACW audience. But anybody who remained a non-believer has now converted as they witness the sight before them. That will to survive – that inability to be put down. The same energy that enabled The Scorpion to survive an Ascendancy beatdown, is allowing him to survive the best that Jason Freeman can throw at him. Two Shining Axe Kicks have connected, and once more his arms shudder as he is able to at least hold his upper body up, slowly trying to get to his knees as he once more slowly raises his head until he locks eyes with the standing Jason Freeman. The eyes of The Scorpion are glazed over…his hair falls over his face, and while he is not sporting the crimson mask as Freeman is, the bloodflow from his wound has clearly increased. It is almost as if he is getting up on instinct…but somewhere deep in those eyes Freeman can still see the fire. The Scorpion will not be put down. Freeman clenches his fists…how? How was it possible? His kick had put down some of the best stars in ACW…to take two of the best kicks he had ever delivered…and…and to reach his knees. To be on his way to his feet. Was this the crowd giving him strength? Or something else? In any case, he does not sink back down. Once more time stands still…The only thing both man sees is the other man standing across from them. And then Freeman acts.
With a shout of frustration, Freeman bounces back off of the ropes one last time, and comes back with a THIRD SHINING AXE KICK! Scorpion can do nothing to dodge it, and Freeman makes sure that this one receives all his energy. Freeman rolls over, lying on his back panting, as Scorpion remains suspended on his knees for a second…it almost seems as if he will completely absorb the force of this third kick. The crowd waits with bated breath. Then, like a tree that has finally been felled, Scorpion’s arms fail him and he sinks flat to the ground, motionless this time. The crowd still stands, hoping that somehow he has it in him to move once more, but still he does not stir. Jason Freeman rolls him over slowly, then lies flat on top of him, having no energy to hook the leg. RAF drops and counts the pin. 1 . . . 2 . . .

. . . . 3. This match is over.
Phillip: Here is your winner...and STIIIIIILLLLLLLLLLLLLL ACW CHAMPION.....JASON FREEMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN
The bell rings...as the crowd remains shocked at the emotional match they have just witnessed. Jason Freeman still remains lying over his opponent, unable to move any longer, and The Scorpion as well is motionless after the conclusion of this match. For Freeman, bloodloss has finally taken its toll, for Scorpion, the multiple kicks to the head. Neither man moves...and finally Freeman rolls over and reaches up, reaching for his championship. RAF hands it over, and Freeman holds it close to himself...almost cradling the belt. He rolls over, off of The Scorpion, and towards the corner, looking into the world championship...reading his name on the belt.
McNally: Well, Freeman pulled it off, though not exactly cleanly! But the real story here isn't about Freeman...what a performance we just saw from The Scorpion!
Edison: That was...amazing.
McNally: Freeman had better hope that Scorpion doesn't get a rematch....I'm not so sure he could pull that one off again...Wow!
Edison: I'm gonna have to agree there....
And Freeman's music plays, as Freeman rolls out of the ring, finding that easier than attempting to stand IN the ring. He holds his belt some more, but the true attention is on the body lying in the ring - The Scorpion's face up towards the heavens. While he may not have been victorious tonight, he certainly proved that he had what it took to compete at the highest level, and had shown that he was one of the toughest wrestlers ACW had seen...and suddenly, though his body cannot yet move, he moves his arm...up towards the sky. And at that sign of life, the crowd erupts....giving The Scorpion a standing ovation for his efforts tonight.
Jason Freeman can care less about The Scorpion. He already makes his way up the ramp...still staring into the gold championship, The Senator coming out down the ramp to meet him, followed by medics to attend to his and The Scorpion's wounds...as the camera fades out on this night, the last thing the viewers see is the numerous rows of fans, all standing, and clapping for The Scorpion in the ring.
Maybe tonight wasn't his night...but it was certainly going to come someday, if this match was any indication.
End of show.

Fun Fact; Scorpion's promo was insanely long. <_<. Like really.
Anyways though, first of all as I said in the first post, I hope the mods move this to the PPV board, I cant post topics there because Im not a mod.
Second of all, not the most contributions for this show, gotta say....BUT IN ANY CASE....
Congratulations to Claude LeBatard because you definitely deserve to be the ET champ, as the best midcarder guy right now, and the most consistent, even though SvR prevented you from doing anything for this show <_<.
Id like to thank Scorpion for being great to work with even though things got screwed up in the middle with your being busy and ACW's issues...etc, I think we did well with what we had. So if it could have been something more, ah well, we need to move on I guess. But I hope you like the match. I think the middle part that I wrote wasnt that great because I wrote it out of order and kind of lost focus on pacing, but I think the ending was strong.
Also thanks Criminal too for handing in segments for this show and Warfare, and Kris as wellf or being great right now.
