… … 3!!!
NO! RAF waves his arms as Chris Phenomenal’s shoulder is off the canvas, some how, some way having kicked out of the Blink as Dave Shadow looks down, shocked. Chris Phenomenal has done it again, costing him something he holds dear, first the Entertainment Championship, then the International Championship and now it looks like possibly the Heavyweight Championship. Dave looks down a little down trodden but then stares out at the crowd roaring, willing Dave on to finish this off, or at least get out of his funk of self pity as Jack Jefferson comes up and stomps him in the back of the neck. Dave goes snapping forward and Jefferson picks him up and presses him into the rope delivering a set of knife edge chops of his own and then pressing him off the ropes and sends him across the ring. Jefferson goes to try and connect with a clothesline but Shadow ducks it and comes off the ropes and as he goes he leaps into the air and looks for a Lou Thesz Press but Jefferson catches him and prevents him from being taken down. He places Shadow down for a moment and shifts his grip a bit before pulling Shadow up and over with a Blizzard Suplex, the bridge in on the waist clutch exploder.
…1
McNally: That could be it.
…2
Edison: We’ve seen Jack put away everyone from Rattlesnake to Dave Shadow himself with that.
…3!!!
McNally: Jack Jefferson retains.
Edison: NO!
Dave Shadow somehow, someway manages to get his shoulder up off the canvas at 2.9 as Jack Jefferson looks down stunned that his Blizzard Suplex didn’t work. Getting to his feet with both CP and Dave down, he walks over to his corner and grabs hold of Chloe in his hands. Turning around he is met by RAF who grabs hold of him and tries to get rid of his crowbar, grabbing hold of his hand. Jefferson tries to pull it away but RAF won’t relent, threatening to disqualify Jefferson who just sneers at RAF, perfectly content with that and escaping with his title until he lets go, Chris Phenomenal coming out of nowhere and slamming into RAF, trying to get at Jefferson.
It takes a moment for Chris to realize what exactly happened, looking down at RAF in the corner, flattened by him but Chloe in his hand. Relieved for the time being Chris turns around and eats a fist from Jefferson who and a shoulder thrust, CP’s own signature move coming from Jefferson. Two more thrusts later Chris is propped up on the second rope as Jefferson looks down smiling as he bends Chris over and hooks him into a front facelock before pulling him off the ropes. Despite the sheer exhaustion, he manages to work towards the center of the ring before dropping Chris down with a massive brain buster.
Edison: BRAINBUSSSSTTTAAAA!!!!
McNally: That might do it. A Blink! and that brain buster.
Jefferson hooks the leg of Chris who appears to be out of it. Jefferson looks over at RAF slowly trying to crawl his way over, pleading with him to hustle. It takes RAF a few seconds before he gets in position, barely, and begins his count.

… …
NO! Somehow, someway Chris manages to kick out again, avoiding the end narrowly. Jefferson looks down flustered but not necessarily surprised and pulls Chris up to his feet before snapping him down with a snapmere and then kicking him in the back for a moment as Dave Shadow slowly is trying to get to his feet but Jefferson puts an end to that with a Shining Wizard, dropping Dave back down again and allowing him to turn his focus back to a rising Chris Phenomenal. The two start to slug it out, right hand after right hand thrown until Jefferson get’s the advantage with a knee lift and goes for his double under hooks but Chris sneaks out of it by trying to go for his dream street submission but Jefferson rolls out and as Chris tries to get up Jefferson whips him into the corner and follows him in with a corner clothesline. Chris stays in and Jefferson looks for another one but Chris ducks out of the way and the two begin exchanging blows there, rights and lefts again as they brawl back across the ring, the match well past the half hour mark beginning to break down.
McNally: Things are getting ugly between Chris Phenomenal and Jack Jefferson.
Edison: I’m impressed with Jefferson here, holding his own with Chris Phenomenal in a slug fest.
McNally: May have spoken to soon Eddie.
Chris appears to have taken things over, connecting with a heavy right hand that knocked Jefferson off balance and then was able to get his distance with a left jab and then a second before coming across with a right hook and then spinning before leveling Jefferson with a discus right, the lethal combination punches of Chris Phenomenal coming out. Jefferson tries to get up by himself but Chris helps him up whipping him into the ropes and then on the rebound grabbing him around the head in a big sleeper hold that is immediately sunk in deep.
Things don’t look good for Jefferson who immediately starts to succumb early in the hold but is unwilling to give up. He looks up and already starting to see stars decides to go for the ropes, trying to drag Chris who digs his heels, and leans right over Jefferson, enough to allow him to drop down to his stomach and catching Chris off guard as suddenly he drops down too, his grip loosening enough to allow Jefferson to escape by pushing it off.
McNally: Wise move there by Jefferson, dropping out and taking all of Chris’ weight away.
Edison: Chris still hasn’t made it to the upper ehchelon of submission wrestlers and that cagey move allowed Jefferson to escape from that potent sleeper hold.
Jefferson and CP both get up and Chris whips Jefferson into the corner and goes after him. Chris looks for a shoulder block but Jefferson pushes up on the top rope and goes over the top as Chris connects with nothing but ring post and comes out clutching his shoulder. Jefferson spins him round and feeds his arm over the top rope before bringing it back in under it, puts his back to Chris and begins to pull on it as RAF now back up to his feet begins counting him off for the illegal hold.
…1 …2 …3 …4
Jefferson let’s go as Chris stumbles out of the corner clutching his shoulder. RAF steps in between the two men and begins to admonish Jefferson, pointing at the ropes and all the way across the ring at Chloe telling him he’s had near enough of his shenanigans. Chris, not even realizing what is going on with no one around turns and goes for a running elbow smash back on Jefferson but instead connects with RAF who for the second time in this match is knocked out in the corner.
McNally: What the hell was he thinking, attacking a senior referee?
Edison: I believe that was accidental, I mean look at his face?
McNally: We saw him earlier put on a convincing piece of acting and juding on his history with Raymond I highly doubt that was a “accident”. I’m surprised we’ve not seen Phillips blow his top yet.
Edison: Maybe you should go encourage him too, I actually enjoy his little tirades.
Jefferson and Chris look down for a moment at RAF, shrugging their shoulders going at it until Chris takes the advantage with an inside elbow and picks up Jefferson and plops him over the top rope in no man’s land.
McNally: What the hell is he going to do know?
Edison: I don’t know?
Chris walks over and Senator signals for Chris to pull out the final stop. He reaches up and clasps on to Jefferson’s one arm but is unable to get the second as Jefferson fights off. Chris, trying to regain the advantage climbs up to the second rope and the two begin fighting their as Jefferson moves up from the second to the top and begins raining down punches. Seeking to prevent it Chris goes up to the top, both men a little unsteady as they rock each other with big right hands. Jack connects with one that interuppts Chris and tries to throw Chris off but he reaches down and grabs hold of the top rope to survive and comes back with a shoulder of his own that gives Jefferson pause and allows Chris to look for the superplex on Jefferson. Jefferson blocks the first attempt and puts Chris in a waist lock of his own, both men looking to superplex the other over the top until out of nowhere Dave Shadow comes into the picture, running across the top rope and then jumping up and hooking his legs around the head of Jefferson and falling back to the outside, but in turn giving Jefferson the ability to superplex Chris as all three men get thrown to the outside.
Edison: DANGEROUS!!!

The camera cuts away for a moment showing the replay of what exactly just happened, Chris Phenomenal going climbing up the ropes after Jack Jefferson, the two brawling, trying to knock each other off until finally Chris had Jack in position for a superplex that could have possibly ended it. It then shows Dave Shadow springing into action, having been watching the proceedings for a moment and running across the top rope, showing incredible poise and balance to stay on top before hooking his legs around the head of Jefferson and throwing him with a hurricanrana and in turn shifting the momentum from Chris to Jack allowing him to suplex him out of the ring back and out sending him into the steel ring steps. Rise… And… Fall… No, not GWF’s flagship Pay Per View but the chests of the three competitors, the camera returning to the live feed and the carnage, all three men fallen, nearing or already at the point of exhaustion but the allure and prestige of the ACW World Heavyweight Championship serving to continually power the men on. Rise… And… Fall… The crowd is still screaming nearly a minute after the massive fall as all three men are down on the floor, RAF still out in one of the corners after being squashed by a flying Shadow and no replacement in sight. Jefferson is slow to his feet but is the first one there, Chris Phenomenal is still down but slowly clawing to his feet using the already dislodged stairs to try and push himself up. Jefferson turns and sees Dave Shadow nearly up but his focused is distracted by the glint of metal in the far right corner. Dave slips as he tries to get to his feet setting him back and Jefferson knows if he’s to pull this out right away, his best shot is Chloe. Hastening after it, Jefferson picks it up and rolls it in his fingers, his back to Dave Shadow who played him perfectly, stalking Jefferson from behind. Jefferson turns around to where Dave was, taking a step back and missing him. He turns again, stepping forward and there’s Dave who leaps into the air and grabs hold of him before he can conk him with Chloe, hooking his head and pulling him down, sending his face right into the announce table with a massive Blink! McNally: Dave Shadow with the Blink! That could end it right here.
Edison: Two problems. One Dave needs to get Jack in the ring and even if he does, we still need a referee.
McNally: And three, that.As Dave Shadow gets to his feet he is caught off guard by Chris Phenomenal coming back into the action, running along the apron and leaping off and connecting with the Harlem Heights, his usual top rope clothesline but in this situation working just the same as Jefferson rolls up onto the announce table in front of McNally and Edison as both Chris Phenomenal and Dave Shadow are down again, the crowd beginning to grow restless, the high of the mass flurry leading into the boring lull of recovery. Slowly Chris gets to his feet, Dave getting up a second later as Chris is able to whip Dave into the ring and takes a chance to slam Jefferson with a big elbow smash right onto the bridge of his nose but he appears to be done. Chris turns his attention back around and Dave is back up to his feet, leaping through the air looking for a springboard crossbody but Chris has other ideas, catching Dave Shadow with a massive European uppercut that stops him in his tracks as Chris looks down partially in shock having acted purely out of instinct. Senator comes over and tells Chris now is his chance, to drag Shadow in and cover him but Chris points at RAF still down and with the contingency plan of Keiji Makabe having been escorted from the arena earlier tonight, there is no other referee for the main event, it’s RAF or bust. Chris turns back around and Jefferson is still down, Shadow is still down and so Chris turns his attention skyward climbing onto the ring apron and climbing to the top rope before spinning himself around, steadying himself as he looks down, the crowd looking up, wondering what the hell Chris is going to do. McNally: It looks like Chris Phenomenal is going to fly, but what the hell is he going to do?
Edison: I don’t know, we see Chris up there once in a blue moon for that Harlem Heights but I don’t think that’s what he’s going for here.Chris makes sure that Jefferson and Dave are still down on the outside and satisfied, leaps off the top rope, soaring gracefully for a man his size as he corkscrews, coming down towards Jack Jefferson and the announce table. McNally: Incoming! The camera man in the upper deck works wonders as he zooms in on Chris Phenomenal, finishing the flip in mid air as McNally and Edison bail out of the way. CRASH! Chris goes crashing through the table, leg coming down right across the throat of Jack Jefferson…

Or at least it would have had he not rolled out of the way at the last second off the announce table.
Edison: DANGEROUS!!!
McNally: Chris went all-in there and busted out.
The holy shit chant starts up as Dave Shadow is slowly trying to push up to his feet and surveys the carnage in front of him, Chris Phenomenal lying interspersed of what was once the announce table, Jack Jefferson now trying to get up in front of him. Dave bends over and grabs hold of Jefferson and slams him face first into the ring apron, Jack’s neck snapping back up at a horrendous pace. Shadow pauses for a moment before slamming Jefferson into the mat and this time holding him down and dragging his face along the ring apron as he walks towards the steel ring steps which he slams Jefferson’s face into as well but this seems to spark Jefferson who fires a reverse elbow afterwards and catches an unsuspecting Shadow in the face and backs him off giving Jefferson a chance to come back and the two start brawling, exchanging lefts and rights as Chris Phenomenal looks up at the lights. Neither man seems to get the advantage though as eventually they both brawl up onto the apron. Dave looks for the knockout blow and misses as Jefferson ducks down to his right. Off guard Dave can’t defend Jefferson’s toe kick and then Jefferson picks Dave up. Dave tries to fight loose but Jefferson has him tightly in his fall-away slam position. Jefferson looks back at Chris Phenomenal and lines himself up before launching off and flipping with Shadow tightly too his body before the two land on Chris Phenomenal, Jefferson’s Fall-away moonsault working to perfection.
McNally: Aren’t you going to say it?
Edison: I’ve said it so many times already for this match, I’m absolutely astounded at these three men. I don’t know how they’re doing it but this is one of the best matches we have EVER seen in our six years at the commentary booth.
Another replay, this time of the fall away moonsault is shown as all three men lie amongst the wreckage, Jefferson the first one to get up and goes after Chris Phenomenal, hauling him out from under Shadow, dragging him along the protective matting before throwing him into the ring, pushing him out from under the ropes. Slowly RAF is coming too as Senator looks on, shaking his head as Jefferson slides in and hooks the leg of Chris, bobbing his head, once, twice, three times but RAF is still trying to make his way over. After about six RAF finally gets their, running his hand under and swinging his hand to count the fall.

AGAIN! Chris Phenomenal manages to kick out and again RAF being down costs Jefferson his shot at retaining the gold. Jefferson gets up to his feet furious and looks down at RAF and begins yelling at him, telling him he’s cost him the match twice. As the two argue Senator waltzes over and nudges Chris with his cane as he starts to get to his feet, gesturing at Jefferson. The faint glimmer of hope rising in his eyes as he pulls himself up and Jefferson turns around. Chris wastes no time, exhausted and having reached his limits over an hour into this match, springing into Jefferson his fist flying and connecting right with the temple, knocking Jefferson down and out, and Chris falls on top of him exhausted, not bothering to hook the leg. It takes RAF a moment but he gets their again and makes the count.

AGAIN! AGAIN! AGAIN! This time it’s Jack Jefferson, kicking out of the Superman Punch as Chris Phenomenal is too tired to change his facial expression to disgust, to exhausted to move off of Jefferson. There’s a brief lull as all three men are down, exhaustion having set in long ago and their second winds long gone. Even McNally and Edison at the commentary desk are exhausted, letting the men tell the story as the crowd is still on their feet, not having sat down for the past twenty minutes. Slowly Chris begins to move but Dave Shadow is slithering into the ring under the bottom ropes and Jack Jefferson is trying to roll towards the other ones to get to his feet, to rest, to do whatever. Dave is the first one up as Chris pushes himself up shortly after and the two look at each other. With Jack Jefferson out of the equation it has come down to the two of them, former employer and employee. Born to never agree, whether it was Chris taking the entertainment title from Dave, there battles with Chris in the Senatorial Stable and Dave in Double Deuce. The braining’s of the Tyler’s, Chris using that to finagle his way into the International Championship and then getting him disqualified to retain. Emperor of the Ring Dave defeating Chris for the first time but not without controversy but in the end the result meaningless, Chris using Senator’s rematch clause to get into the match. As the two take weary steps around each other they’re eyes cross and in the fleeting moment, they both know this ends now, between the two of them, it was meant to be.
In one final violent clash the two come together collar and elbow, neither man willing to give an inch but Chris begins to take it with sheer brute strength, Dave however uses his wrestling smarts and goes behind Chris who tries to turn into it but Dave catches his arm and whips him into the corner before charging in with another knee to the face, Chris unable to avoid it the impact knocking him up onto the second rope. Dave looks at him and knows he’s not going to end it with the Blink! No, it’s taken him four years nearly to make it this far, from the Hardcore Hero in the early days of GWF to Fan Favorite in ACW. Dave reaches up and puts Chris over his shoulder and backs away, every last bit of strength in his body going to supporting Chris as he falls back over towards Chris back into a back to bellly position for Dave Shadow. Reaching the middle of the ring and Jack Jefferson still down on the outside Dave drops out sitting down and slamming Chris head into the mat and he immediately goes limp as Dave simply lies back on top of Chris and RAF makes the count.
…1
McNally: That’s the original Shadow Driver! Dave’s finishing move in GWF!
…2
Edison: That has to do it, that has to.

Senator tries pushing Jefferson in to break up the count but this is the night of Shadow!
…3!!!
This time there is no kick out, just ear rupturing noise, drowning out the toll of the bell as RAF points his finger calling for it. Phillip Jones is drowned out even as the raucus crowd will not quiet, cheers and chant’s of “Dave” or “Shadow” filling the arena. RAF grabs the belt from Phillip and passes it to Dave who sits up off of Chris Phenomenal, still staring up at the lights and Jack Jefferson, resting peacefully on the apron.
Dave clutches the title belt to his chest, not willing to let go as he is looks up at the sky, the dream finally coming true. Dave is helped to his feet by RAF as Senator looks on at ringside shaking his head. Dave is slow to do it but he makes sure he poses on each turnbuckle for the fans as the cameras continue rolling, the millions watching world wide not wanting to miss this as Shelton Splash, Jay Tyler and Alicia Kitsune come down to the ring to celebrate with Dave for a moment, Alicia giving Dave a small hug before Jay and Shelton raise his hand. Dave whispers something to all of them and they nod in agreement as Dave ducks out of the ring and hops the barricade and starts walking amongst the crowd slapping as many hands as he can.
Finally he reaches his destination and walks up the half flight of stares to the small camera platform and ducks past it to the outside and standing on the edge raises his title in the air as the decibel level, already at ear busting levels reaches a new high as the show slowly fades out to the image of a smiling Shadow belt in hand.
Your new ACW World Heavyweight Champion.
And thus ends another ACW year...
...or does it?
Things are going to get very, very strange before we say goodbye to 2009.
And then.... Everything is going to change. Forever.
Fade to Black.
End of Show.

I will second the congrats Dave, just keep it clean for me as I'll be there shortly Nice show! I was thrown back a bit by the length of the main event and there were a few segments from that got me a bit confused but it all worked well together and everything was nicely woven together by a valiant effort! Here's the to future *raises glass*!
