History
Cordelia Love was born on 22nd September 1975 in the ferry town of Dover, in the county of Kent on the South coast of England. Her Father, Eddy Love was a professional cyclist who regularly competed in the Tour de France, during
which, in 1951, he was introduced to Parisian fashion model, Stéphanie LaBlanc, whom he married shortly afterwards.
The couple, living in England, gave birth to Christopher, Cordelia's eldest sibling, Cordelia herself and the youngest of the trio, Katherine.
At a young age, Cordelia was overweight and unattractive and was regularly teased by her schoolmates for her physical appearance as well as her French descent.
Ostracized by her peers, Cordelia spent most of her upbringing, indoors and with her family, particularly her siblings. She fell in love with reading and writing and was a keen learner. At school, she regularly fell for the boys in the playground, but they always shunned her, ridiculing and teasing her.
When her older Brother, Christopher, left home to pursue a career in Wrestling, the bond between Cordelia and her Father, the only Male figure remaining in her life, was firmly strengthened and she began to take an interest in his favorite past-time of cycling.
By the time Cordelia had reached her late teens, she had developed into a highly attractive, brilliantly intelligent and extremely physically fit young woman. The tables had turned, as boys queued up to make their advances on the gorgeous nubile. She exacted her revenge on the very same young boys who once tormented her by cruelly leading hem on only to crush them mentally and spiritually by rejecting them, often in painful or humiliating circumstances - gaining a lot of satisfaction from this power.
From persuasion from her Brother, she was convinced into joining him in his wrestling career, acting as his valet to the ring.
It was never revealed at the time that they were Brother and Sister, most assumed that they were lovers.
It was during her early wrestling career that her life was to change forever. She first met a man named Carl Evans, who went by the ring name D-Structa in the USCW, the independent promotion that she and her Brother worked for. D-S had become a student of Christopher's and, feeling he owed him so much, agreed to take care of Cordelia while Christopher underwent rehabilitation for an injured neck.
Cordelia and D-S become quite close and their friendship threatened the relationship D-S had with his long term girlfriend, Traci Nelson. When the USCW released Christopher due to his rehabilitation taking too long, Cordela, D-S and subsequently,
Traci, all walked out on the promotion.
They all briefly worked for XCW, a rival of USCW who were keen to capitalize on the actions of their biggest enemy. It was at XCW that Jack Vernon, a wrestler portraying a character called Jack Torak, one half of a Tag Team named Double Jack with his real-life Brother, John Vernon (Known as Jack Veracious in the ring), met the Love's. Torak and Veracious had already worked with D-S prior to his XCW stint, so it was through him that they all met. Torak was different from all other wrestlers' and, in fact, any men she had ever met. He never seemed to leer at her or make advances towards her. He was not crude or egomaniacal. He reminded her of her Father. The two slowly strengthened an amazing bond but never sealed the relationship.
However, disaster struck as the XCW was taken down due to improper business conduct and all involved found themselves out of work.
Christopher had just been offered a lucrative deal to work for a high ranking U.S. promotion, but the deal was for him, and him only.
Just as Cordelia began contemplating a move back home, she got a call from D-S inviting her to join him in a new promotion, run by an old friend of D-S's, Dave Messo. When informed that Torak would also be involved, she accepted immediately and quickly found herself as one of the top Divas in the Valley Wrestling Federation. Working closely with D-S and Traci Nelson, she acted as Torak's manager and spoke for him during the shows. Working so closely together, Cordelia and Torak managed to seal their relationship and soon became engaged.
The Valley Wrestling Federation closed it's doors in 2002.
Torak continued his wrestling career in the UKWA, but Cordelia remained out of the scenes in order to build on their relationship.
She made a brief appearance alongside Torak in the ASCW, a promotion co-run by D-S, who by then had begun to call himself Cyda D.S.
D.S. gave up his share of the ASCW after a falling out with the other management and, loyal to their friend, Torak and Cordelia also followed him out of the promotion.
Both of them considered quitting wrestling entirely to work on building a family and get married, but as they watched Rattlesnake, a friend of theirs from VWF, compete in an inter-promotion tournament run by Dave Messo, they noticed two talented individuals from a company called Alpha Championship Wrestling. Those individuals were Victor Laureano and Alicia Kitsune, the eventual winner of the tournament.
Both of them submitted their CV to the ACW and were accepted and even thrust straight into the upper-echelons of the rankings.
Initially appearing to fail a trial period, they returned to wreak havoc on an ACW main event, injuring a number of wrestlers and bringing an important number one contendership rumble to an abrupt end. This turned out to be a swerve, however, as it had all been planned from the start by the Chairman, Jonathan Gingerdude in order to create a lucrative title match at the next PPV.
Cordelia, alone in the ACW while Torak was away doing charity work, was visited by her brother, posing as Christophe LaBlanc, a name he had been using since leaving XCW, who promised to teach her how to wrestle, insisting that Cyda, Messo and Torak would do the same. Cordelia won her first ever wrestling match against Kiley, who was on-screen partner of ACW star, BK London at the time.
Torak, acting as hired muscle for Gingerdude, took exception to Victor "Latino" Laureano. Cordelia and Torak proceeded to torment and test Latino, with Cordelia and Latino's lover, Atomic Kitsune, also confronting each other.
After Torak was defeated by Latino in a match that was a signature of Torak, a St. Elmo's Belt match, Torak and Cordelia's relationship became unsteady. Torak was soon released from his ACW contract following a backstage incident following a
row with his fiancé, while Cordelia remained for one more match - a ACW Diva's title match, which she lost to Carma.
Cordelia and Torak parted ways shortly afterwards but Cordelia was desperate to reconcile. However, Torak's menal health deteriorated as he sought revenge on his nemesis, Latino. Torak returned to ACW a year later to continue his feud with Latino,
exacting some level of revenge before Latino finally emerged the victor in their blow-off match. Cordelia, meanwhile, had disappeared without a trace. Many feared the worst, as the last anyone had seen of her was to meet Torak, and nobody had seen her since.
On May 7th 2008, Jack "Torak" Vernon was found dead in his home after commiting suicide by hanging. It was scarily reminiscent of a backstage scenario in which Torak strangled himself with some rope, receiving a degree of pleasure from the act. This was the only time Cordelia had resurfaced on the "radar", being quoted as being "distraught" at the death of her former fiancèe.
