The Reprobate's girlfriend Christina Hernandez recently appeared on the final cover of KING Magazine, a Hip Hop Men's Magazine which has ceased recently production. The interview and it's accompanying photos are below.
So, let's cut to the chase. Is it hard being a woman in a predominantly male setting? Are wrestlers constantly hitting on you?
No, because my boyfriend is a wrestler and he protects me. He makes sure that nothing happens. I can handle myself if he didn't, though.
You have to be a tough girl. You're in the wrestling business and you're from The Bronx. What was life like growing up? How was your school and family life?
I went to a tough school with a lot of crime and violence, but that's how it is in The Bronx. You learn to defend yourself. I grew up in a big family, and you have to defend yourself when you're sleeping in a room with five or six other boys and girls.
Did you watch wrestling growing up?
Yes, and that's what lead me to it. If I wasn't raised in The Bronx, I never would have met my boyfriend, and if I never met my boyfriend, I wouldn't have gotten in to wrestling. I probably would have gotten pregnant at 15 and dropped out of high school or something like that. That's usually how life goes there, and I'm glad that I was put on a greater path by God.
You're a very well shaped woman, we can't imagine that you, of all women, would be a tough pro wrestler. Do you work out a lot, and do you have a strict diet?
No, I eat what I want to eat but luckily when I'm out on the sidelines I burn some of the fat! But most of it goes to my thighs and butt. I love it though, I have a real woman's body. I love having a big booty, it breaks my fall when I mix it up in the ring!
You mentioned being on the sidelines. Does it bother you in any way that you are "pushed to the side" while The Reprobate gets most of the attention?
No, because he has taught me so much about wrestling and even life in general, that I realize that attention is not the most important thing ever. Everything is a pyramid scheme, and I am helping to hold it all together, even though I'm not always seen. Life is like a play or a movie, and the supporting actors are the ones who really set the scene.
Your relationship with Rep has to be the strangest couple we've seen since Dennis Rodman & Carmen Electra... or Michael Jackson & Lisa Marie Presley. How does a 30 year old gothic white guy get with a beautiful young urban Latina like you?
Well he's not a goth, he's more of a darker genius type guy. I was born on Halloween and I have always been kind of fascinated with dark and evil things. I think it's sexy, so that's why I like him. He also teaches me a lot, and he's like the father I never had.
You were raised in a single parent home with six siblings?
No. Well, my real father ran out on us before I was born, and my mom had a ton of boyfriends and they were all abusive. I guess that's just another reason why I grew up to be so tough, and why I also relate to Rep so much, because he also had a lot of family problems. Neither of us have ever met our fathers, his mother gave him up and then died. We both have very sad stories but we are both glad that we can relate like that.
You've explained to us that you're a sideline girl. Do you ever want to step foot in to the ring like Rep?
Yes, I always wanted to be a wrestler but never got the chance. Before ACW, I was in a company named GWF. I was the only girl there. Now in ACW there are other females, which makes me want to get in the ring even more. But I don't have to only wrestle girls, I'll take on dudes too!
Christina appears weekly on Alpha Championship Wrestling's Monday Night Warfare and Thursday Night Meltdown TV shows as well as Pay-Per-View Events.
